Description
S8500/6800 series is 10G routing switches with large capacity and high performance, including models like
S8503, S8506, S8510 andS8516.The key modules are all taking the 1/1 redundancy backup; 16 extended slots
are at most provided; their backplane bandwidth reaches up to 18Tbps and their packet forwarding rate is up
to 3360Mpps so the L2/L3/L4 wire speed can be attained according to actual requirements; Various interface
modules with 10GE, GE or FE are provided and the following functions are supported: IPv4, IPv6, MPLS, NAT,
multicast, QoS and bandwidth control.
They are L3 10G routing switches, including models such as S3928, S3928GX, S3948, S3948GX, S3940F,
L3 Routing S3900 series
S3956, S3956F.They have the following features: up to 8 10G ports, 280G backplane bandwidth, a wire-speed

S3900E series They are enhanced S3900 series, including models such as S3928E, S3928GXE,S3948E and S3948GXE.
They support MCE and flexible QinQ, that is to say, they have much powerful services. They have the following
features: up to 4 10G ports, 280G backplane bandwidth, a wire-speed L3 packet forwarding rate of 131Mpps, 24
or 48 1000M electric ports, 4 multiplexed gigabit SFP ports, and 1 or 2 10G extended slot(s).
S3500 series is L3 gigabit routing switches and includes S3528, S3524GX, S3548,S3548GX and S3552.This

series of switches has a 192G backplane bandwidth, a 77Mpps L3 packet forwarding rate, and an optional
choice of 24 / 48 / 52 gigabit auto-adaptable electric ports and 4 multiplexed gigabit SFP optical ports, or an
optional choice of 24 SFP optical ports and 4 multiplexed gigabit electric ports.
S3500E series S3500E series is L3 gigabit routing switches and includes S3524E, S3524GXE, S3548E and S3548GXE.They
support MCE and flexible QinQ, that is to say, they have much powerful services. They provide 24 gigabit autoadaptable electric ports or SFP optical ports, among which 4 ports are used as both electric ports and optical
ports.
They are L3 gigabit routing switches and includes S3424E, S3424F and S3448B. Its L3 packet forwarding rate is

L2 Managed S5600 series

S2500 series is L2 gigabit Ethernet switches and contains many models such as S2510, S2512, S2516C,

BDCOM S8500 Core Routing Switch Series

BDCOM S8500 10G routing switches are BDCOM's core products with large volume and high performance. Their backplane
bandwidth is up to 18Tbps, their packet forwarding rate is up to 3360Mpps and they all have the wire-speed L2/L3/L4 switching
capacity. BDCOM S8500 absorbs the design idea of advanced modularization, adopts the multi-processor distribution
mechanism and the Crossbar space division switching structure and applies the 1:1 redundancy backup to all its key modules.
Various interface modules with 10GE, GE or FE are provided and the following functions are supported: IPv4, IPv6, MPLS,
NAT, multicast, QoS and bandwidth control. They are oriented towards carriers IP MANs, campus networks, electronic public
service networks and large enterprises networks for running on their core layers or their aggregation layers. In total, they have
advantages such as high reliability, high expansibility and strong service capability, so requirements on constructing the core
layers of all kinds of networks.

The key modules of the system like the control unit and the power
source can be backed up through the 1+1 mode. Meanwhile,
the Hitless Protection System (HPS) secures the high reliability
of BDCOM S8500 After the redundancy control module is
configured, the highest reliability can be reached. At the same
time, the functions of BDCOM S8500 OLT like VRRP, STP and
LACP provide further reliability.
BDCOM S8500 supports various interface types such as 10GE,

GE and FE. High port density, wire-speed routing/switching can

uses the multi-processor-based treatment mechanism and adopts

Supporting IPv6 versatilly

All IPv6 technologies are realized, including IPv4/IPv6 protocol
stacks, and IPv4-to-IPv6 filtration technologies based on manual/
automatic tunnel configuration or 6-to-4 tunnel. Meanwhile, the
IPv6 static routing is realized and the dynamic routing protocols
such as BGP4/BGP4+, RIPng and OSPFv3 are supported.
Supporting MPLS VPN on layer 2 or layer 3

The layer-2 MPLS VPN supports the Martini protocol and the VPLS
protocol, while the layer-3 MPLS VPN adopts RFC2547bis. Hence,
BDCOM S8500 is well compatible with other main manufacturers'
devices on the MPLS VPN service.
Large capacity and high performance
Uniform network management function
BDCOM S8500 supports the 3360Mpps packet forwarding rate,

contains 512K layer-3 routing information, 512K layer-2 MAC
addresses, 4096 groups of VLANs and 8K security/ access control
policies, securing the wire-speed forwarding requirements.
BDCOM S8500 supports the RFC 1213 SNMP protocol. The

internal network management mode adopts the Telnet-based
configuration management or the SNMP-based configuration
management, realizing uniform network management based on
the Broad Director network management platform.

Shanghai NGB MAN uses BDCOM S8500, a 10G core switch,

as its core switch in its center and sub-centers. Each S8500
switch has two IV MSUs, two to three 4TE service cards and
several 48GE wire cards. The 10GE or n*10GE bandwidth is
adopted on the whole interconnections between core devices.
The government office network has the following features:

small scale, geographical centralization and two-level structure
(the core layer and the access layer). In the government office
network the gigabit optical fiber is used as the backbone and
the L3 gateway is used to connect the core switch. BDCOM

POE function
The POE switches of this series support 802.3af power supply
during the full load of all ports and 802.3at power supply with a
maximum 30W on each port. The key nodes of the network can
be guaranteed with continuous power supply and the power
consumption of power supply can be configured on the port; so
the electric power can be saved and so does the users cost.

Powerful Performances
BDCOM BSR series is driven by the 64-bit dual-core processor,
the private gigabit ASIC switching chip and FPGA components,
enabling the whole hardware platform of the whole router to run
on the hi-speed Ethernet frame. This innovative design attributes
BSR with an innate extra powerful processing ability, provides a
guarantee to the upper-layer software functions.
Strong expansibility
Because built on the basis of switching core, BSR routers can
expand their external interfaces, slots and modules without
any limitation from the total CPU resources. The switching chip
guarantees that the whole BSR router is provided with sufficient
and broadband internal channels, making the expansibility of BSR

BSR routers adopt the new-generation hardware chip which

BDCOM flow-control gateways have adopted the advanced 7-layer

such as HTTP, MAIL, database, P2P download, VOD and VoIP.

with high bandwidth but low priority such as P2P and VOD, and
first process those with the high priority and low bandwidth.
At the same time elastic and effective bandwidth distribution

Description
OLT S8000 series
It is a core OLT with large capacity and also a distributive hi-end routing switch. This series of products
supports MSU and 1+1 power backup. It supports up to 128 GEPON ports or 64 10G EPON ports. So
it is widely used in the automatic power distribution network, power consumption data acquisition and
intelligent power in the electric power industry, and the NGP upgrade of the CATV industry.
It is a new generation of broadband, multiservice aggregation OLTs, characteristic of high reliability,
highly dense EPON access and robust switching/routing. This series of products supports up to 56
PON ports and the 10G uplink, which can be widely applied in automatic power distribution, power
consumption data acquisition, FTTH, MAN of the carriers, and CATV NGB upgrade.
BDCOM P3600 OLT series includes three models: P3608 (8 PON ports, 8 GE uplink), P3612(12 PON
ports, 8 GE uplink) and P3616 (16 PON ports, 8 GE uplink). All P3600 OLT products support power
source redundancy. P3600 OLT series can be widely applied on the networks of the carriers, EPON

BDCOM S8000 Capacious Core GEPON/10GEPON OLT Series

BDCOM S8000 OLT EPON series is a new-generation multiservice OLT devices invented by BDCOM for the convergence
network, and at the same time a distributive hi-end routing switch. BDCOM develops the EPON card on the workstation of the
S8000 switches. This service card supports 16 PON ports, while S8000 OLT can support up to 128 GEPON ports or 64 10GEPON
ports, easily realizing the convergence of the hi-density OLT and the core switch.
The uplink bandwidth of BDCOM S8000 OLT can be expanded through adding the GE/10GE service boards. S8000 OLT

P5900 OLT
BDCOM P5900 OLT EPON products, which have high reliability, highly dense EPON
access and robust switching and routing abilities, is a new generation of broadband and
multiservice access OLT devices oriented towards the convergence network.
BDCOM P5900 OLT series adopts the BDROS operating system whose intelligent
property is owned by BDCOM, integrates with IPv6, network security, EPON, supports
data, voice and video, and provides continuous forwarding, graceful restarting and ring
protection, improving the work efficiency and securing the maximum running time.
P5900 OLT series includes P5910 (2 MSUs and 8 slots) and P5916 (2 MSUs and 8 slots).
All P5900 OLT products support MSU and the 1+1 backup power source.P5900 OLT
series can be widely applied on the networks of the carriers, EPON in the NGB upgrade
of the Broadcast, TV and film system, or automatic power distribution, power-consumed

Abiding by IEEE802.3ah, BDCOM P5900 OLT series meets

relevant requirements of GEPON OLT regulated in Technical
Requirements of YD/T1475-2006EPON and China Telecom
EPON Technical Requirements. BDCOM P5900 OLT series
supports CTC2.0/2.1 wholly, automatically detects and works
harmoniously with ONUs made by different manufacturers.
This series of products has high reliability.The key modules of the

system like the control unit and the power source can be backed
up through the 1+1 mode. Meanwhile, the Hitless Protection
System (HPS) secures the high reliability of BDCOM P5900 OLT.
After the redundancy control module is configured, the highest
reliability can be reached.At the same time, the functions of
BDCOM P5900 OLT like VRRP, STP and LACP provide further
reliability.
Strong expansibility
P5900 OLT products are cabinet modularized devices with high
density and large capacity so they are easy for expansion and
upgrade.P5916 supports up to 56 EPON interfaces, the 1:64
coupling ratio, up to 3584 ONUs and a 20 km transmission
distance.

all users to share the 1Gbps bandwidth reasonably, guaranteeing
a reliable QoS.
The Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol (RSTP) enables the
redundant interconnection between OLT and backbone network,
while EAPS provides highly reliable ring guarantee with 50ms.
It supports the IGMP multicast and efficiently utilize the
bandwidth. It supports the multicast VLAN.

BDCOM Wireless AP WAP2100 series

BDCOM WAP2100 Series wireless APs are designed and released by Shanghai Baud Data Communication Co., Ltd for those
WiFi application sites such as amalgamated dwellings and hotels. WAP2100 series provide users not only with a secure, stable
and hi-speed wireless network but also with Ethernet ports and optional outdoor application conditions. It can access wired
terminals (data, IPTV) and wireless terminals and integrate multiple networks into one.

The application of the 802.11n MIMO technology on BDCOM

WAP2100-T enables the transmission rate on the physical layer to
reach up to 450Mbps so that WAP2100-T can be widely used in
indoor locations with many users, such as clubs and restaurants.
This series of WAPs has high throughput so that they can meet the
access requirements of up to 200 users and make it possible for
100 users to work concurrently.
BDCOM WAP2100-T series supports multiple data encryption

criteria, including WEP, WPA, WPA2, WPA-psk, WPA2-psk and
802.11i. They also provide these security functions such as
MAC/WEB/802.1x authentication, illegal AP checkup, isolation
of wireless users, and wireless user blacklist/white list, providing
secure networks for users.
Flexible configuration
BDCOM WAP2100-T has the following functions: IEEE 802.11n,

flow control, QoS, automatic terminal identification, multiple SSIDs
(a single frequency supports up to 16 SSIDs), dynamic power/rate
regulation, dynamic reception flexibility, and fat or thin AP mode.
Due to their wireless ceiling-mounted installation mode, they,

other than other kinds of APs like wall-mounted APs and indoor
distributive APs, have their own advantages when being installed
in indoor locations. They occupy small indoor space, exert no
bad influence on indoor environment and are easy to deploy
and install. That's why they are the best choice to establish WiFi
networks in indoor public areas. Whats more, it would be more
flexible to deploy the fat AP mode in small-scale networks.

POE, but saving accessories such as arrester and antenna feeder

installation process, but enhances the system stability.
The protection level of BDCOM WAP2100-CPE has reached to

IP66. It is water-proof, dust-proof, wind-proof and thunder-proof.
Typical Application
BDCOM Long-distance WiFi solution is consisted of WBS and
CPE. In user intensity area, it is recommended to lay networks by
combining 2.4G CPE and 5.8G CPE.
For operators and rural wireless broadband networks of broadcast
and TV, it usually needs to combine WBS with xPON to achieve an
integral solution of wireless & wired access network. Besides, AC
controller and CMS network management system need to add to
