Thesis statement: I believe that raising the minimum salary by 100 soles will
cause a mixed outcome on the population
SS1: Raising the minimum salary will reduce the labor exchange

There will be less people willing to pay more

There will be work places needing less personnel
Work places will try to cut personnel because of the raise in costs
driven by the payment of salary

SS2: Raising the minimum salary will bring wellbeing to people working for it

People that worked for it and that really needed the money will
actually get what they deserve
People will be able to afford more stuff
People will work harder to maintain their work

SS3: Raising the minimum salary will bring a lot of discussion between people
that need and people that offer jobs

People offering jobs will have to prove that they cant afford to pay
so much personnel
People needing jobs will have to prove they are worth the money
theyll be getting paid
Politicians will need to look for ways to calm the population before
someone starts planning a strike.

CS: I believe that raising the minimum wage will cause both good and bad
outcomes on the population.

What If We Raise It Just A Little?
Isnt it fair that as inflation rises, also out income raises? Most people
ignore the fact that their incomes tend to lose value through time. A dollar
gained today wont have the same value a year after, unless it is saved in a
savings account with interest rates higher than the expected inflation rate of the
year. But, what are the outcomes of this solution? I believe that raising the
minimum salary by 100 soles will cause a mixed outcome on the population.
One of the outcomes of raising the minimum wage is the decrease of the
labor exchange. This is caused because less people will be willing to pay more,
so maybe before this raise was enforced a work place was able to contract 10
individuals, this is around 7000. Now, if you raise each worker salary by 100
soles then the amount you need to invest has raised by around 14%, which is a
lot for a company that needs that amount of personnel. This means that work
places will need less people working with them, because of their inability to pay
them all or maintain the same amount of return on investments. Now, there
might be places that are already working at their limit. If the salary is raised then
their limit is surpassed, this means that theyll need to fire people to maintain
the same level of well-being inside the work place. All in all, raising the minimum
wage will turn the labor exchange into a hostile environment for the less
endowed.
On the other hand, people that strive for keeping their jobs and that have
good results will get the consequences of their work by augmenting their
incomes and experiencing an improvement into their wellbeing. This will happen

because theyll feel that the amount of work theyre putting into their jobs is
actually being reflected into their end of the month checks. By having more then
theyll be able to afford more stuff thus achieving a greater satisfaction with their
actions. Since the work environment will turn hostile then each worker will work
harder to maintain their jobs, this may prize some of them with a promotion
caused by their improvements in their job performance. To sum up, the worker
that actually puts effort in his jobs will feel better in his work place and his daily
life.
Both parts will end up bringing a lot of discussion between them and this
will also include the powers that be. Bosses will have to prove that their
companies are unable to afford paying each individuals benefits equally. This
comes from the fact that some companies may use the new law to take
advantage and fire people while saying that theyre unable to pay the benefits
that come that are usually given to an employee leaving the company. The
working side will also have to prove that theyre actually performing as theyre
intended to. Is not a secret that there is people that slack at the workplace, now
these people will have to prove that theyre worth the money paid for them,
usually this is the same people that are detractors of new laws that brings
responsibility for both the employer and the employee. Lastly, politicians will
have to look for ways to calm down the population and avoid a kind of solution
that has become really popular these days, which are strikes. These strikes
usually end up bringing both people with a reason and people who just want to
cause trouble; politicians will have to seek solutions to avoid these actions. All in
all, every part involved in the decision over this issue will have to present valid
points to avoid and counter every problem that may surge from it.

To conclude, I believe that raising the minimum wage will cause both good
and bad outcomes on the population. The outcome of it depends on how the
population takes every aspect of it and how it performs to every obstacle that
