Reason for inclusion: I like the streamline design of the masthead, as it is modern and appeals to a younger audience, if I use a design like this for my masthead it will help me show the modern influences of indie
rock.

Reason for inclusion: This album cover includes lots of bright colours and is from a prominent indie rock
band. The bright colours will likely influence my magazine design as it helps convey the vibrant nature of
indie rock.

Reason for inclusion: I enjoy the minimalist nature of this image as it makes it clean and easy to read,
which I would like my magazine to be.

Reason for inclusion: The video game Life is Strange uses a lot of indie rock, and the design of the art reflects this, I enjoy the stylistic choices made in the image, and may use similar design for my magazine.

Reason for inclusion: This movie poster is very bright, and is quirky. Some indie rock artists have a quirky
feel, and for this reason I may use a similar design for my magazine cover, with half of the model I choose
having their face covered in a transparent colour.

Reason for inclusion: I once again enjoy the bright colours on this image, and may use similar colours on
my magazine cover.

Reason for inclusion: This album cover is quite surreal, which I like. I may employ similar techniques for
my magazine cover, with surrealistic props etc.

Reason for inclusion: The use of colour and framing on this album are very visually striking, it uses silhouettes to create emotion very well which I could use in my final design

Reason for inclusion: I am considering using two models for my cover, and I like the way that the two cover models are placed on this image, and my use it myself.

Reason for inclusion: I enjoy the layout of this contents page as it is very simple and clear, which I would
like my contents page to be like.

Fonts and Typefaces.

Font 1: Red Moon Rising
Why I like it: I like this font as it is quirky and
different. This is something that relates to
indie rock so may be a good font to use in
my magazine.

Font 2: Quartzo
Why I like it: This font represents a lot of
themes that run throughout indie music, it is
very simple and clean, which is the sort of
style indie rock is usually associated with, it
is also quirky and different, whilst still managing to be recognisable

Font 3: Nova Bold

Why I like it: This font is like the last in that it
is recognisable but at the same time different. Which helps to represent indie rock,
however it is not as quirky as the last font
giving it a cleaner feel.

Font 4: Blacklisted
Why I like it: This font is good because it is
modern, like indie rock, and also clean and
quirky. This means that it highlights many
aspects of indie rock.
