PAMBAYANG PEDERASYON NG LIGA NG MGA BARANGAY

BARANGAY TANOD PROFESSIONALIZATION TRAINING
(A Design)
I.

RATIONALE
Achieving progress accompanies the need to maintain peace and order in
communities in which socio-cultural and economic activities thrive. This is further
emphasized in the principle that good governance engenders safety. The Local Government
Code provisions also point out the functions and responsibilities in which local government
officials and functionaries are called to carry out for the welfare of the communities they
serve. Getting into the grassroots and forefront of crime prevention, disaster response and
maintenance of peace and order is the Barangay Tanod force, a significant pillar towards the
advancement of a Strong Republic. With the multiplying force of the Barangay Tanod, it is
imperative that their requisite skills be honed more cogently so that they could perform
their roles and responsibilities as empowered citizens and partners of law enforcers in the
maintenance of peace and order in the communities.
Hence, this design.
