November 2016
Dear Friend,
Greetings on this beautiful November day, from everyone at the church.
Despite all that is happening in the world today, the Lord Jesus is still moving in the
hearts of men and women everywhere! His Word is coming to pass swiftly in these
last days and He said, "And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up,
and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh" (Luke 21:28). All
through the Bible we are instructed to look up from where we are. Anyone can look
up. A banker or homeless person can look up. A factory worker or a CEO of some
corporation can look up. He didn't tell us to make sure we do a good deed, or give a
certain amount of money first. No, He told us to look up and lift up our heads. The
penalty for our sins has already been paid. We were at fault because of our sins and
iniquities, but Jesus took the blame and nailed all those things to the cross. Our sins,
which were many, are forgiven, and we are now free to serve Him "...without fear, In
holiness and righteousness before Him, all the days of our life" (Luke 1:74 & 75).
I am very thankful to the Lord every day for that great gift of grace!
I find it interesting that one of the words for "thankful" in the Bible comes from
the Greek word "eucharisteo." That, of course, is where we get the word Eucharist.
Communion with the Lord is centered on gratitude. It is a language He hears. If you
want the Lord to hear your prayers, begin with being thankful. Some may think,
"What do I have to be thankful for?" The very fact that the Lord went to the cross for
our sins, to begin with! He loves you with an everlasting love. Underneath us are His
everlasting arms, which hold us up in times of distress and troubles. If you feel like
you are falling today, you can only fall as far as His everlasting arms! The Scripture
says, "Now unto Him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you
faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy..." (Jude 1:24). Isn't
it wonderful to know that while so many things change and seemingly fall all around
us, the Lord Jesus is able to keep us from falling! But not only that, He is able to
present us faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy! He is our
strength when we are weak. He is the lifter up of our heads when life gets us down.
We have a hope in Christ, an anchor for our soul, when the storms of life are raging
like a troubled sea. When there is no other place to turn, and no where else to look,
we can look unto Him and be saved: saved from sin, discouragement and sickness.
All throughout the Bible He tells us to "Fear not." He will guide us all the way home
to heaven! He will never leave us nor forsake us!

I stand amazed when I see His mighty working power in the lives of true
believers. The Lord is at work in and through His people to bring hope to the
hopeless, encouragement to the down-trodden, and peace to those who seem to be at
war with everything and everyone around them. I know He is on His throne, and
nothing comes my way without His knowledge. Even when things seem too big for
me to handle on my own, I can trust His sovereign presence to bring forth the victory
in Jesus' name! The Scripture still says, "And we know that all things work
together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to
His purpose" (Romans 8:28). Not everything is good in itself, and not every trial I
face came from God. But He is able to work it together for my good. He can take evil
and create a masterpiece of wonderful grace and beauty. He can take certain defeat
and turn it into glorious victory if we put our trust in Him. Many trust in themselves,
but they will fall short at one point or another. But those who put their trust in the
Lord Jesus will never fall!
II Peter 1:10 says, "Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make
your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall." That
phrase "never fall" in the original is a double negative. In other words the Lord is
saying to us, if we serve Him, we shall never, ever fall! Period. No question about it.
He will hold us up! We might fail Him, but He will not ever, no never, fail us! We
may fall short of the goal, but He will be the fulfillment of all things in our lives! He
knew there would be struggles and times we can't go on. But He never leaves us nor
forsakes us. Instead, He draws closer to us and carries us through! Now, we can cast
all our cares upon Him, for He cares for us! When He comes to us, He wipes all tears
from our eyes, and blesses us with His presence. Isn't it comforting to know we have
such a wonderful Savior who sticks closer to us than a brother? I am blessed with a
great big brother. I know he would do anything for me if I ask. But we live in
different towns and he is not able to be there at all times for me, just as I am not able
to be there all the time for him. But we have a big Brother, who is always there for
the both of us! I thank God for the blessings he has given me over the years
If you don't know this wonderful Savior, who died on the cross for our sins, let
me introduce you to Him. His name is the Lord Jesus Christ, and He already loves
you with an everlasting love. All you need do is give Him your sins and doubts, and
ask Him to come into your life. Surrender your will to Him today and be saved
forevermore!
I invite you to our church services. We meet on Sundays at 10 AM and 7 PM,
and Wednesday at 7:30 PM. May God bless your this month and always. And from
everyone at our church, we wish you a very Happy Thanksgiving!
Sincerely,
Rev. Daniel Bossidy
