In the News:
Parent Teacher Conferences will be held the
second week of November keep an eye for
students to come home with sign-up sheets so
that you may sign up for your preferred time
Volleyball News- This is the last week of girls
volleyball. There is an away game on Tuesday,
Oct. at Great Oaks. There will be an end of the
year tournament on October 22nd. More
details TBA.

7th and 8th Grade Social Studies


Mr. Riebe
In 7th grade we will be wrapping up our unit on how
to study history, we will do so by first
starting the week out by having the students
challenge the power and the authority of the
textbook as they seek to answer the question
of whether or not the textbook really is the
end all be all. We will then begin preparation
for our first Unit test which is on Friday. On
Wednesday students will start by completing
a review sheet. Thursday we will be playing a
jeopardy review game and Friday will be the
test. I have attached both the test and the
review sheet

8th Grade ELA


Mrs. Mitchell
This week in 8th Grade ELA, students
will be working on creating Constructed
Responses.

8th Grade Math


Mrs. Mann
This week in math we are continuing to
learn about transformations. We will
focus on reflection and be completing a
reflection project. Students will graph
their names on graphing paper and
reflect it over the x-axis. Conferences
are in early November, so keep working
hard and turning in work!

In 8th grade we will be wrapping up our unit on the


revolutionary war by taking a look at the
midnight ride of Paul Revere, we will then be
taking an open note quiz on the causes of the
revolutionary war and then on Thursday and
October 2016

This week in 7th grade ELA we are working
with informational texts. We will be
examining and analyzing a variety of
sources, including books, magazines,
newspapers, and the internet. We will also
continue practicing constructed responses
as our writing focus. We will be placing our
writing work in our portfolios, so keep an
eye out for examples of our work!
