How will learning be assessed at the end of the unit/learning cycle (summative):
Students will post the main idea and key details of their book to the blog, and respond to two classmates. Using a
rubric, the teacher will assess whether or not the student was able to identify the main idea and key details of
their book, and respond to their classmates using proper etiquette.

Navigate the layout of the classroom website with students, and show them how to post and comment on the blog.
Review ISTE Standard 2b, proper etiquette when posting and/or commenting on someone elses work. Review theme
or central idea and how it can be conveyed through particular details.

when responding to their classmates work.
