Assessment Summary
During the entry level of the unit of the number line,
students will be giving a quiz on basic math concepts such
as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. In
addition to the quiz students will be giving a KWL chart to
begin filling the first two columns. Lastly students will be
giving a survey that will survey their prior knowledge.
Next students will practice the new material by using
flashcards that have math problems and rules of how to
add and subtract integer numbers. Then students will
work in groups of two using the concepts of how money
relates to negative and positive numbers. After they have
played this game and done their flashcards students will
play a game online where they will practice how to use the

number line and money. Lastly students will take a quiz on

adding and subtracting integers.
At the end of the unit students will work on a project
where they will be giving a group project to finally
understand how the number line is related to the real
world. Finally students will take a unit test about the
number line.
