JR. MARKETING ANALYST SEO/ONLINE MARKETING INTERNSHIP
With my versatile and effective people-skills and creativity, plus my prior experience in
marketing and desire to learn, I feel I am the ideal intern for your available position as a Jr.
Marketing Analyst. I have recently received my General Marketing Certificate from Dixie State
University and am currently pursuing a Bachelors degree in Business Administration with an
emphasis in Marketing, in which I will graduate with next year.
My marketing and PR experience began while as an intern for Habitat for Humanity of
Southwest Utah, in which I was able to shadow and assist the Community Development and
Fundraising Chair. I was put in charge of various marketing factions, including social media
coverage, creating invitations to events, revising flyers and promotional items, and assisting with
creating a strategic marketing plan. My public relation duties included requesting donations from
local businesses, communicating and interacting with homeowners and the public at events, and
creating relationships with people in the area to spread awareness of Habitat and to obtain
support. This internship then led to employment, in which I became the Office Assistant, and
continued with my marketing and PR duties, along with being tasked with assisting our
Accountant and Executive Director in various tasks.
My experience, particularly in social media marketing at Habitat and a retail establishment called
Woof, have taught me immensely about marketing on the internet. Being tasked with managing
both organizations Facebook and Instagram accounts, I have learned how to write compelling
content and create posts that will engage the community more, both of which are needed in SEO
and Online Marketing. I have been able to improve each social media outlet to the point of each
page receiving at least 5 new likes a week, along with improving post engagement (such as
liking, sharing, and commenting) by more than 100%. Although I dont have a background in
web development, I have computer proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, Access, and basic
HTML knowledge, and am eager and willing to learn the technical aspects of SEO.
