PROVENANCE OF INTERNET
The history of the Internet began with the development of
computers in the 1950s. This began with point-to-point
communication between mainframe computers and terminals, expanded
to point-to-point connections between computers and then early research
into packet switching. Packet switched networks such as ARPANET, Mark I
at NPL in the UK, CYCLADES, Merit Network, Tymnet, and Telenet, were
developed in the late 1960s and early 1970s using a variety of protocols.
The ARPANET in particular led to the development of protocols for
internetworking, where multiple separate networks could be joined
together into a network of networks.
1974 ABC interview with Arthur C. Clarke in which he describes a
future of ubiquitous networked personal computers.
In 1982 the Internet Protocol Suite (TCP/IP) was standardized and the
concept of a world-wide network of fully interconnected TCP/IP networks
called the Internet was introduced. Access to the ARPANET was expanded
in 1981 when the National Science Foundation (NSF) developed the

Computer Science Network (CSNET) and again in 1986 when NSFNET

provided access to supercomputer sites in the United States from research
and education organizations. Commercial internet service providers (ISPs)
began to emerge in the late 1980s and 1990s. The ARPANET was
decommissioned in 1990. The Internet was commercialized in 1995 when
NSFNET was decommissioned, removing the last restrictions on the use of
the Internet to carry commercial traffic.
Since the mid-1990s the Internet has had a drastic impact on culture
and commerce, including the rise of near-instant communication by
electronic mail, instant messaging, Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP)
"phone calls", two-way interactive video calls, and the World Wide Web
with its discussion forums, blogs, social networking, and online shopping
sites. The research and education community continues to develop and
use advanced networks such as NSF's very high speed Backbone Network
Service (vBNS), Internet2, and National LambdaRail. Increasing amounts
of data are transmitted at higher and higher speeds over fiber optic
networks operating at 1-Gbit/s, 10-Gbit/s, or more. The Internet continues
to grow, driven by ever greater amounts of online information and
knowledge, commerce, entertainment and social networking.

The internet has saveral component applications.

These include:
1. Telnet (terminal emulation) allows a user on one computer to log
onto a remote computer and run software on that remote computer
as i it were on the users local computer
2. FTP (file transfer protocol) allows user to apload and download files
from other computer
3. EDI (electronic dat interchange) allows for electronic transfer of
data between companies over the internet
4. IRC (internet relay chat) allowns people connected over the
internet to participate in discussions.it allows people to converse in
real time people may actually see you type your questions and
responses

5. Email (electonic mail) allows people to send and receive electronik

messages.
6. Newsgroup this is the internet equivalent of a discussion gruop or
an electronic bulletin board. There ar newsgroup for every
conceivable topic and more, from educational technology and brazil
culture to stamp collecting and mountaineering. Computer
newsgroup start wiyh comp as in
comp.apps.spreadsheets.whilerecraetional newsgroup start with rec
as in rec.arts.cinema. The others are alt for alternate, soc for social,
sci for science, and news for news.
7. World Wide Web is a vast, ever-expanding collection of online
document and information formated in hypertext markup language
(HTML) distributed over the internet. It is a software application that
uses the internet. this is some example of application at internet

what often in utilizing by world society to facilitate them in finishing

its work.

Internet stands for: internetworked network

The internet is a worldwide connention of millions of computers
connected to thousands of different network. These computers
comunicate that is, share, exchange, and transmit data to another
computer on the same or another network.
nobody owns or controls the internet.it is a global information system
similar in some respects to telephone networks that allow anybody to
call any other number anytime,anywhere.

its it him internet do not only can to assist work of us but internet also
can connect us to place which far away even also.
internet only an system made in human being made to facilitate us,
but most of they feel like have addicted to its it[him] internet. because
from internet we can get easily any which we wish.

Internet address domain

Each computer on the internet is called an
internet host or a host machine.each host manchine
has a special internet protocol address (IP addres)
that uniquely identifies taht computer. IP address
were never designed to be seen by human
eyes.they are an address that is interpreted by a
computer. An example of an IP address is:

205.213.164.10

Since numbers are easy for a computer to work

with but difficult for humans, most host machines
have a domain name service (DNS) address. For
instance have a domain name service address of
the IP address listed above is:

Depts.alverno.edu.

NUMBER IP used as by number password for the security

network. IP number also earn us meet [in] handphone and
peripheral of electronic able to correlate to satellite.

conclusion
Possible ahead you have heard aphorism that book is world
