STEP 1

Teacher begins the lesson by showing two objects and asks students if it odd or even.
Teacher provides more examples and explains more on it.

STEP 2

Teacher distributes a number card to each student and explains the instructions. Students
take turn to say the number on the card as the teacher points to them. Then, teacher says
odd numbers stand up and show your card. Students have to follow the instructions given
by the teacher. E.g. even numbers sit down or odd numbers close your eyes. Teacher
writes a song lyric on the board. Students sing along to the song and show their number
cards when asked.
Students complete the student workbook page 13. Teacher circulates around the room and
listens out for the answers from students. Occasionally, teacher asks students randomly
why have you put that number there? Teacher recaps the lesson by showing few number
cards and students state whether it is an odd or even number.
Students should be able to recognize the odd and numbers through the activities.

them if necessary.
Then, teacher instructs students to open their activity book to page 21. Teacher takes all
the verbs from the activity book and writes them on the board. Students read them

Next, teacher explains on continents which are joined to each other and which are not.
Teacher shows the picture of continents to students.
Teacher explains further about the continents of Asia and Antarctica. Teacher asks
questions based on the continents and students answer voluntarily.
Later, students write down the first letter for each continent while students take turn to
guess the names of the continent. Teacher guides students if necessary. Once done,
students complete the written work on labeling all the continents (workbook page 7).
Teacher recaps the lesson by asking questions related to the topic. E.g. what is the largest
continent? Teacher ends the lesson.
Students need to label the continents correctly.
Students participated actively during the discussion. Ariq was one of the most who wanted
to share his ideas to the class. He started listing down animals on Antartica. They were
able to list down all the 7 continents. However, as for the written assignment, some of the
students were not able to do it by themselves, as they were not able to spell the names of
the continents. I guided them by pronouncing the letters one at a time. Objectives were
met.

Teacher writes down few incorrect sentences on the board. e.g. he wear a white shirt or
they likes to eat fried chicken. Teacher picks any student randomly to correct the incorrect
sentences. Teacher assists them if necessary.

STEP 3

Students complete the writing activity in their activity book. Based on the pictures given,
they need to construct a sentence. Teacher moves around to guide students and reminds
them to write neatly.

ASSESSMENT

Students need to correct the incorrect sentences and construct their own sentence.

CONCLUSION

Having students with diverse abilities in a classroom makes it a challenging for me as a

Teacher distributes few number cards to each student. (1-20). Students take turn to paste

STEP 2

Teacher divides students into 2 groups. Each time they want to answer a question the
whole group must stand together. Teacher then picks a student to answer. Teacher reads
aloud the true/false questions to students. They need to state whether it is true or false.
E.g. there are 5 odd numbers between 0 and 10.
Students complete the exercise on their book page 13. They need to read the statement and
choose whether it is true or false. Teacher circulates around to guide students who cant
read well. Teacher recaps the whole lesson by writing few numbers on the board and
students must choose the odd numbers.
Students should be able to complete the exercise by getting 6/7 questions correctly.

STEP 3

ASSESSMENT
CONCLUSION

I find this lesson challenging because of the exercise from the workbook. I was not able to
check for their understanding as we did the exercise together as a class because the
exercise requires students to read the question and identify whether it is true or false.
Since half of the class is quite weak in reading, I read it for them and discuss for the
answers. Need to have one more class for odd and even topic.

attentively and guess the word correctly. Teacher corrects if necessary.
Teacher distributes the passage to each student. Teacher calls out any student randomly, to
read aloud the passage while the rest repeat after. Teacher corrects any mispronunciation.
Teacher discusses the story with students and asks questions related to the passage. For
example: What do you think of the story? Teacher explains the instructions for the
worksheet and distributes the worksheet to the students. Students are given approximately
10 minutes to complete the worksheet. Teacher moves around to guide students. Once
done, students hand over the worksheet. Teacher summarizes all responses and ends the
lesson.
Students are assessed on their reading comprehension. They need to read the passage
together and discuss the events in the story with the teacher.
In the beginning of the lesson, students were able to grasp the vocabulary part. I had to use
a simple reading comprehension to cater booster class students. During the reading
session, it was challenging, as I had to check them to ensure they know which sentence
they are reading. Naim, Ariq, Virqa was lost during the reading session. Surprisingly, most

of the students were able to complete the worksheet.

Teacher distributes the hundred chart to each student and explains the instructions.
Teacher gives the instructions meanwhile students need to listen and colour the numbers
accordingly. E.g. colour all the odd numbers from 50 90 yellow or colour all even
numbers between 80 100 blue. Teacher circulates to check on students work.
Teacher puts numbers ranging from 70-100 on the chair. On go, students from each group
takes turn to grab a number from the whiteboard and return to their team. Odd team grabs
the odd numbers meanwhile the even team grabs the even numbers. Once they have
collected all the numbers, the teams must put them in correct order. The first team to shout
