1. This assignment contains only ONE (1) question that is set in both Malay and English. / Tugasan ini
mengandungi SATU (1) soalan sahaja yang disediakan dalam bahasa Melayu dan bahasa Inggeris.
2. Answer in Malay or English. / Jawab dalam bahasa Melayu atau bahasaInggeris.
3. Learners are to submit assignment only in MS-WORD format unless specified otherwise. Please refrain from
converting text/phrases into picture format such as .gif / .jpeg / print screen / etc. / Anda dikehendaki
menyerahkan tugasan dalam format MS-WORD melainkan dinyatakan sebaliknya. Anda tidak dibenarkan
untuk menukar teks/frasa tugasan tersebut kepada format grafik seperti .jpeg / .gif / print screen / dan lainlain format berkaitan.
4. Download the language version of the assignmenttemplate concerned from the myINSPIRE for preparation
and submission of your assignment. Your assignment should be typed using 12 point Times New Roman font
and 1.5 line spacing. / Muat turunkan templat tugasan versi bahasa yang berkenaan daripada myINSPIRE
untuk penyediaan dan penyerahan tugasan anda. Tugasan anda hendaklah ditaip dengan menggunakan saiz

5. Your assignment should be between 2500 to 3000 wordsexcluding references. Do not copy the assignment
question and instructions to your answer. Only assignment answer developed within the approximate word
limit will be assessed. The number of words should be shown at the end of your assignment. / Tugasan anda
hendaklah mengandungi 2500 hingga 3000 patah perkataan tidak termasuk rujukan. Bilangan perkataan
hendaklah ditunjukkan di hujung tugasan anda. Jangan menyalinsoalan dan arahan tugasan dalam jawapan
anda. Pemeriksa tidak akan membaca jawapan tugasan yang melebihi had patah perkataan yang dibenarkan.

7. You can submit your assignment ONCE only in a SINGLE file. / Anda hanya boleh menghantar tugasan

8. Your assignment mustbe submitted between 31st October 13th November 2016. Submission after 13th
November 2016 will NOT be accepted. / Tugasan anda hendaklah diserahkan antara 31hb Oktober 13hb

Your assignment is considered as NOT submitted if you fail to produce the submission receipt in any dispute
arises concerning assignment submission./ Anda perlu memastikan RESIT yang dikeluarkan bagi
penghantaran tugasan disimpan sebagai bukti penghantaran. Kegagalan mengemukakan resit dalam

ASSIGNMENT QUESTION

Siraj-Blatchford (1999) in Muijs and Reynolds (2005) identifies three elements necessary for
effective early years teaching: (a) Creating the learning environment. This includes organising
materials and resources, providing relevant, interesting and latest experiences and providing
opportunities for active exploration and questioning, including a lot of pupil-pupil and pupiladult talk to allow linguistic competency to develop; (b) Direct instruction, including
demonstration, description, answering questions, directing the childs attention and constructive
criticism and reinforcement; and (c) Scaffolding, including directing childrens attention to new
aspects of a situation, helping the children to sequence activities and managing complex tasks by
breaking them down into smaller, more manageable parts.

Explain the above statement in detail.

Plan a learning environment which you believe will encourage young children to learn
through active exploration and interaction with adults, other children and materials.

SOALAN TUGASAN

Siraj-Blatchford (1999) dalam Muijs dan Reynolds (2005) telah mengenal pasti tiga elemen yang
diperlukan untuk keberkesanan dalam pengajaran awal kanak-kanak: (a) Mewujudkan
persekitaran pembelajaran. Ini termasuk pengelolaan bahan dan sumber pembelajaran,
menyediakan pengalaman yang relevan, menarik dan terkini dan menyediakan peluang untuk
penerokaan yang aktif, bersoal jawab, termasuk menyediakan banyak peluang interaksi antara
kanak-kanak dan kanak-kanak, kanak-kanak dan orang dewasa supaya kecekapan bahasa kanakkanak dapat berkembang; (b) Pengajaran secara langsung, termasuk demonstrasi, penerangan,

aktiviti, dan menguruskan tugas yang kompleks dengan memecahkannya kepada yang lebih kecil
iaitu kepada bahagian-bahagian lebih terurus.
