Mentorship
In ISM, we have to shadow our mentors and observe
their daily lives at the workplace.
ISM will also help develop our social skills and
provide a valuable practical experience.

At the end of the semester we have to present a final

presentation, which has to last for 20 minutes and has to
be 30 slides and you are required to make a tangible
product that has to relate to your project topic.
We have to submit in ISM journals online on itsLearning.
We also have to turn in activity logs every Monday when
we walk into class

-My project topic is Vaccination & Immunizations. Through

this project, I will explain the importance of getting
mandatory immunizations. I will also shed light on the
reasons why some people elect not to be immunized and the
danger that is associated with this choice. Also, Ill discuss
the misconceptions regarding vaccination related issues for
example autism.

This is a statistic
chart that shows
how many children
were vaccinated in
between the years
2015-2016, from
Kindergarten and
7th grade.

I will use the research sources with my key points and

relate it back to the websites in my search. These websites
will help immensely as these reliable government websites
will back up my facts and statements. I will also present a
couple of slides mentioning my sources.

I have started to work with the products that I will use to

demonstrate the procedure of drawing up vaccine from a
vial into a syringe. I will show the guidelines for this
procedure in a video for the final presentation.
Im holding a HPV vaccine. HPV stands for Human
Papillomavirus which is the most common sexually
transmitted infection in the United States.
The HPV vaccine prevents genital warts and cervical cancer.
The vaccination is given in a series of three shots over a 6
month period. The vaccine could be started from 11 years and
onwards.
This vaccine is optional at this time.

The topic of Vaccination intrigued

me because it is an important public
health issue as it relates to the
prevention of common diseases and a
potential to inform the audience
regarding the importance of
vaccinations.
It is important for our children to
get immunized. I want to get the
message out that for a healthy
society it is critical to have healthy
children which are the future of our
nation.
