International Master's Programme in

Electronics Design
MID SWEDEN UNIVERSITY
Electronics is integrated into a variety of products present in our everyday life. The International
Masters Programme in Electronics Design offers a programme that focuses on embedded
electronic systems with sensors. The programme is updated regularly with recent developments and
is carried out in close cooperation with both researchers from the department and industrial
partners.
Electronic systems can be found embedded in a huge variety of products in, for example, cars,
refrigerators, keys, packages, etc. In most cases these embedded systems also have sensor functions
that can range from the very simple, such as temperature sensors, to the very complex, based on
machine vision.

These embedded systems consist of different technologies for data processing, communication,
sensing, analogue and digital processing.
The International Masters Programme in Electronics Design at Mid Sweden University aims to
provide broad knowledge in the different technologies which make up an embedded sensor system.
In the second year individual projects provide you with a specialisation and in-depth knowledge in a
specific field. The projects are performed in close cooperation with research groups at the
department.

Your project assignments originate from problems identified by our industrial partners or
collaborating research institutes.

After the completion of the masters programme, it is possible to continue with research and
development in companies working within the fields of telecommunication and industrial
electronics systems.
