Assessment Results, Analysis, and Reflection

After the workshop had been administered the participants took a post assessment to assess their
growth on the specified learning goal of the workshop. The post-assessment included items that were
similar to the items on the pre-workshop quiz. The results of the quiz are posted below.

Workshop participants showed mastery of all topics covered in the post assessment except for one
item. One item asked if a person must sign into Google in order to fill out a Google Form. The
participants scored 50% on this question. I attribute this to an error in the wording of the question.
Participants were told that you could change a setting that determined whether or not sign-in was
required, and this should have been more clearly referenced in the question regarding this knowledge. The
results show that the participants have a basic understand of Google Forms and Flubaroo. During my
observation they were able to create simple questions. They also showed a basic understanding of
Flubaroo during the workshop.

Evaluation Results
An evaluation was given at the end of the workshop to gauge the perceived effectiveness of the
methods and instruction used during the workshop. The questions along with the responses are shown
below. The participants were asked to choose the level to which they agree with each statement. 1 stood
for completely disagree and 5 stood for completely agree. The y-axis represents the number of responses
and the x-axis represents the response choice.

These results show that overall participants were happy with the workshop. The results show that
the participants thought the presentation was engaging and that they would recommend the workshop to a
colleague. The results also show that the participants feel very comfortable using Google Forms on their
own. The results indicate that the participants do not feel as comfortable using Flubaroo as Google Forms.
I believe this is because Google Forms is more familiar and more user friendly. Flubaroo is more foreign.
It is something they had not seen before this workshop as indicated in the needs assessment. The results
also indicate that it would have been beneficial to give more time for questions during the workshop.

Self Reflection

I thought the workshop experience went well. The topic was something I am interested in. I think
it can do a lot to help teachers use formative assessments more often. It was more difficult than I thought
it would be to conduct a needs assessment, especially the survey. I had to send multiple emails directly to
the participants to encourage them to complete the needs assessment. This was in part due to the small
number of participants.
To improve the workshop I would first attempt to get more participants. I would do the workshop
earlier in the year, possibly during pre-planning. At this point in the semester teachers are very busy and
do not want their planning periods taken. If I had to do this again I would also have the teachers download
and use Flubaroo during the workshop. I did not do this during this workshop because of time limitations
and downloading speeds. It would have taken too long for all the teachers to obtain the add-on. The last
thing I would change is that I would have added more questions to my post-assessments. I thought few
questions would be less daunting for the participants, encouraging them to answer them more accurately.
If I had more post-assessment questions I would have had more data to use to improve my instruction.
