Read the questions below and write your answers
What was the most common reason for speaking? Asking a question
What was the least common reason for speaking? Answering
Were there any boxes with no ticks? One box because one of the
students didnt answer the teachers question
How much of the lesson was spent on the teacher using Teacher
Talk, in your opinion? The teacher gave the students the
opportunity to talk and she gave that talk for 5 minutes or so
Do you feel it was an appropriate amount of talk? Why / Why not?
Yes because the lesson was mostly student centered and the
students could talk as much as they want
What do you think is an appropriate sequence of interaction
patterns? She lets the students repeat the words after her then let
other students stand in her place and tell the children to repeat
Now consider how much Arabic was used. Do you think it was used
appropriately?
Why? / Why not? Not much Arabic used by the teacher but the
students used lots of Arabic in the classroom

The Arabic should be used in the classroom if something should be
explained in Arabic and if the students dont understand it
