Palace not dismayed
over Aquinos refusal
for joint cabinet meet
A MALACAANG official denied yester-
day that they were dismayed by President-
elect Benigno Noynoy Aquino IIIs refusal
for a joint cabinet meeting of outgoing and
incoming administrations before the oath-tak-
ing of the new president.
Presidential Management Staff chief Elena
Bautista-Horn said they respected the deci-
sion of Aquino.
She said Palace has offered the joint cabi-
net meeting as a proper venue to clarify things
on the different departments before the Aquino
government takes over on June 30.
According to Horn, it was President Gloria
Macapagal-Arroyo who proposed a joint
cabinet meeting.
