Experiment 5

Aim: To generate Binary Phase Shift Keying (BPSK) signal.

BPSK is a digital modulation scheme where the phase of the carrier changes in
accordance with the symbol being transmitted.
Here Bipolar NRZ line coding is used and a Multiplier module is employed to multiply the
carrier and the sequence generated by the sequence generator.
Let the carrier signal be c(t)= Acos(2*pi*fc*t)
fc= carrier frequency= 100KHz
The clock frequency being fed to the sequence generator is 8KHz.
Corresponding to symbol 1, signal transmitted will be c(t) and corresponding to symbol
0, signal transmitted will be -c(t). Hence a phase difference of 180 degrees lies between
the two symbols.
