MY ANSWERS AS FOLLOWING:
In my opinion, it is not working because the government school is providing the positive
environment to Emirati women because teachers have higher salaries in government
schools and naturally that will be their first choice. Also, often there is a preference
among [female] graduates to work in state schools because it will be an all-female
environment. In addition, according to Asma said her reason to prefer the government
school that culturally sensitive. Therefore, the as Ms. Al Mulla said I cannot expect a
private school to adopt all the Emirati values I would like to be a part of and I agree with
her because the government school are more concern about the culture more than the
private school and this is because the teachers there are an Emirati teacher.
For both aspects the stockholders are the ministry and this includes the chain commands
in the school starts from principal, vice principal, the administer staff, teachers, students,
bus supervisor, cleaners canteen workers, bus drivers. That affected in language and
communication and salary and many aspects.
What do you think has been a key challenge about implementing this changing in
UAE?
The challenging when the parent wants their kids to study in private school because to
graduate with a strong base in English and but at the same time I wanted a school that
would stay true to the Arab culture and give her the values I grew up with. So to increase
the Emirati teacher in private school will needs for a huge budget to increase their
salaries to again them to private sector and needs to add more benefits to encourage
the UAE ladies to join the private school. In conclusion, it will be a challenge to provide
the environment which similar in government school.
