MUZEUM DOBRANOCEK ZE ZBIORW WOJCIECHA JAMY W RZESZOWIE,
JAKO MUZEUM DLA DZIECI W KADYM WIEKU.
KRTKA OPOWIE O POWSTANIU KRAINY DOBRANOCEK
Mao jest takich miejsc, ktre, wydawaoby si, stworzone dla dzieci, przynosz jeszcze wiksz
frajd rodzicom. Takie wanie jest Muzeum Dobranocek ze zbiorw Wojciecha Jamy w Rzeszowie.
Chocia przedstawia postacie bajkowe i zabawki, ktrymi bawi si dzieci, to jednak wiksze emocje
wywouje u dorosych. Przez lata postacie znane tylko z ekranw telewizorw bawiy i uczyy. Dzi
dziki kolekcji Wojciecha Jamy mona si spotka z nimi na ywo.

Pierwsza publiczna prezentacja pobudzia do dziaania i rozmylania nad dalszym sensem
wycznie gromadzenia zbiorw. Kluczowe znaczenie miaa przeprowadzka do Rzeszowa, miasta
zdecydowanie mniejszego ni Krakw, gdzie muzea mona byo policzy na palcach jednej rki. Byo,

zwrcia si z zapytaniem do rzeszowskiego ratusza o moliwoci zorganizowania miejsca na Muzeum
Dobranocek PRL-u. Odzew ze strony rajcw miejskich zachca do dziaania.
Autor kolekcji przygotowa swj pomys, przela go na papier i skierowa stosowne pisma do ratusza.
Przystpiono do rozmw. Wyzwaniem od pocztku bya kwestia traktowania muzeum wzgldem
prawa. Wojciech Jama postawi spraw jasno, e zaley mu na utworzeniu muzeum samorzdowego,
zgodnego z ustaw o muzeach. Urzdnicy podeszli do tej sprawy entuzjastycznie. Jednak, kiedy wgbili
si w ten temat, okazao si, e to nie jest taka prosta sprawa. Przygotowali (a raczej zaplanowali, gdy
koniec kocw skoczyo si na planach) miejsce w kamienicy na rynku, pod adresem Rynek 7, tu
obok Muzeum etnograficznego. Wczeniej byy tam biura urzdnikw miejskich. Lokalizacja bardzo
dobra, niestety fatalna pod wzgldem rozplanowania kolekcji. Muzeum miaoby si mieci na dwch
pitrach z wejciem od strony ul. Kr. Kazimierza. Drugie pitro stanowioby dopiero poziom Rynku.
Klatka schodowa jest cigiem komunikacyjnym dla pozostaych mieszka w kamienicy, co rwnie
komplikowao spraw. Mimo to lokal by w miar duy, co dawao nadziej na prezentacj kolekcji.
Po pewnym czasie sprawa ucicha. Znowu wysza na wiato dzienne dziki lokalnym gazetom,
ktre od samego pocztku wspieray ten pomys [4]. Informacje w prasie przypominay urzdnikom
o nierozwizanej kwestii muzeum. Pomimo jasnego kierunku dziaa nastpujcych po sobie splot
wydarze jest do dnia dzisiejszego trudny do wytumaczenia. Kilkukrotnie pojawia si w mediach
informacja o punkcie porzdku dziennego zebrania Rady Miejskiej w Rzeszowie dotyczcym powoania

Muzeum Dobranocek. Ju na wstpie prac, sprawa muzeum spada z porzdku obrad. Powodem by
brak opinii ministerstwa. Kolekcjoner zaj si t kwesti i dowid niefrasobliwoci urzdnikw.
Owszem, wysano maila z pomysem statutu dla nowej instytucji i prob o opini specjalistw z
Ministerstwa Kultury i Dziedzictwa Narodowego (MKiD). Aby podj kolejne dziaania naleao mie
pozytywn opini MKiD udokumentowan pieczci ministerialn. Problem w tym, e statutu nie
wysano poczt. Ministerstwo wyrazio si z aprobat o caej sprawie odpisujc w mailu o potrzebie
zaczenia dokumentw drog pocztow. I tu lad si urywa. Nikt nie odpowiedzia na maila. Dopiero
kolejne artykuy w prasie sprawiy postpy w realizacji inwestycji [5].
Osobn kwesti byy te akty notarialne, ktre dwukrotnie wbrew woli kolekcjonera odnosiy si
do powoania instytucji kultury pod nazw Muzeum Dobranocek. Wojciech Jama od pocztku
postulowa o utworzenie Muzeum Dobranocek na zasadach zapisanych w ustawie o muzeach. Oparcie
prawne jest zupenie inne w przypadku instytucji kultury, ni o muzeach. Rnice dotycz regulacji
prawnych, celw i misji tych rnych instytucji. Inne s te rygory dotyczce zbiorw, ich gromadzeniu
i udostpnianiu. Kolekcjoner rzek wprost: <<Pani notariusz nie bdziemy si tak bawi, bo to
w tym momencie jest ju troch mieszne. Sprawa jest jasna. S informacje w mediach, e tworzy
si prawdziwe muzeum. Dla mnie to jasna sprawa. S muzea narodowe, s muzea samorzdowe
finansowane przez miasto. To jest wanie ten repertuar. Jeli chcecie powoa instytucj kultury pod
nazw Muzeum Dobranocek, to twrzcie. Ale beze mnie>> [1]. Postawienie sprawy na ostrzu
noa podziaao na wyobrani urzdnikw. Za trzecim razem parafowano odpowiednie dokumenty i
Muzeum Dobranocek ze zbiorw Wojciecha Jamy stao si realnym podmiotem kultury.
Podpisanie umowy notarialnej dotyczcej otworzenia Muzeum Dobranocek miao miejsce
29 stycznia 2008 roku, zaledwie pi dni po przekazaniu bezpatnie caych zbiorw na rzecz tego
muzeum. Wrd eksponatw przekazanych miastu na rzecz muzeum byy oryginalne postacie (lalki)
Misia Uszatka, Misia Colargola, Plastusia i wiele innych. To byy na owy czas bardzo wartociowe
rzeczy [6]. Kadorazowy zakup musia by konsultowany z rodzin, bowiem mocno wpywa na
budet domowy. Teraz ciesz oczy nie tylko rodzin Jamw. Chocia w styczniu 2008 roku podpisano
akt przekazania zbiorw na rzecz muzeum, ale to wcale nie znaczy, e natychmiast zostay ustawione
w gablotach. Bynajmniej. Cay rok czekay na przygotowanie lokalu. Czekay, aby muzeum powoano
do ycia. Dopiero jak muzeum powstao, to mona byo je zanie. I zgodnie z umow cay zbir
zosta przekazany na prezentacj publicznoci. Co zaskakujce przez cay czas trwania rozmw na
temat utworzenia muzeum, aden z urzdnikw nie pofatygowa si, aby sprawdzi czy te maskotki
istniej i s w posiadaniu Wojciech Jamy. Pierwsz osob, ktra zobaczya kolekcj bya staystka
wydelegowana z Wydziau Promocji Miasta Rzeszw. To ona spisywaa i katalogowaa przedmioty.
Nie byo przy tym adnego rzeczoznawcy, std ceny byy zapisywane wedle wiedzy kolekcjonera.
Kwestia opnie i niewaciwych aktw notarialnych to nie wszystko. Zostaa jeszcze kwestia
lokalu. Ten uzgodniony w ostatniej chwili okaza si by niedostpnym. Miasto w najbliszym
czasie miao zosta pozbawione tej nieruchomoci! W trybie awaryjnym pojawi si lokal przy ul.
Sowackiego. Kolekcjoner z humorem wspomina pierwsze chwile: To byy dwie sale wystawowe, w
sumie ok. 60 m2. Wychodzio si w hol ze sklepikiem, tam ju wystawa si zaczynaa. Byy gabloty
i na cianach co wisiao. Na prawo sala 30m2, na lewo sala 30m2. Korytarzykiem szo si do wza
sanitarnego z WC. Kawaeczek dalej bya malutka klitka, czyli nasze biuro. Rwnie w tym miejscu
malutka klitka, bez okien, ktr przeznaczylimy na magazyn. Tak si zaczynao [1]. Pomimo do
maej przestrzeni by popyt na Muzeum Dobranocek, nawet przy relatywnie drogich biletach. Rzadko,
kiedy zdarzay si jakie skargi na ma ekspozycj, warunki prezentacji czy pomys. Wikszo
odwiedzajcych wychodzia z umiechem na ustach. To zasuga zbiorw, unikalnych na swoj skal.
Pojawiajce si informacje w prasie i telewizji o zasigu oglnokrajowym sprowadzay od pocztku do
Rzeszowa setki turystw, poszukujcych swoich dawnych lat. Spord setek goci, ktrych oprowadza
Wojciech Jama, szczeglnie pamita wizyt Fina z rodowit Rzeszowiank. O dziwo to on gdzie
wyczyta o takim muzeum i przyprowadzi tam swoj dziewczyn.
Niewtpliwy sukces Muzeum Dobranocek ze zbiorw Wojciecha Jamy nie zosta do koca
wykorzystany zdaniem kolekcjonera. Pierwotnie sprawujc funkcj dyrektora placwki mia
ograniczon moliwo kupowania kolejnych oryginalnych figurek, kukieek czy wartociowych
gadetw zwizanych z dobranockami. Mimo to stara si od samego pocztku wyszuka znanymi

ogoszeniach, z bdami ortograficznymi czy literwkami w tytuach. Trudno poda ich warto.
Dla znawcw s bezcenne. Kwota podana na aukcjach internetowych jest wypadkow oczekiwa
posiadacza i zapotrzebowania rynku. Potrafi kupowa wartociowe eksponaty to wielka sztuka i
dowiadczenie zdobywane przez lata. Niejednokrotnie pierwszego dyrektora muzeum spotykay
zoliwe komentarze na temat zakupw oryginalnych maskotek. Nawet po rezygnacji z penienia

(dokadnie 2178) podwoia si, a chtnych na jej ogldanie wci nie brakuje. wietny artyku dotyczcy
obecnej dziaalnoci Muzeum Dobranocek popenia jego dyrektor, Katarzyna Lubas [8].
Dzieo Wojciecha Jamy nadal cieszy starszych i modszych, ktrzy za obowizkowy punkt wycieczki
po Rzeszowie uwaaj krain dawnych bajek. Z ca pewnoci mona rzec, e kolekcjoner nie
powiedzia swojego ostatniego sowa w budowaniu ciekawego miasta poprzez sztuk. W planach jest
udostpnienie jeszcze wikszej kolekcji komiksw, ktra ju zdobya rozgos w kraju i na wiecie [9].

NADIIA SUROVTSOVAS PARTICIPATION IN THE FORMATION AND WORK
OF THE UKRAINIAN FOREIGN OFFICE IN 19171918
The article systematizes an earlier stage (19171920) in the activities of Nadiia Vitaliivna Surovtsova
(18961985) a Ukrainian public figure, translator, writer, journalist, historian, publicist, diplomat and
dissident. The study is based on both her personal recollections and letters and works and publications
of the researchers. Despite her prominent public effort and service at the Ukrainian Foreign Office,
that period of her life has not yet been investigated and properly evaluated. The author analyzes her
own memoirs and epistolary legacy, memoirs of Sophiia Rusova and Mykhailo Shkilnyk and reveals
her professional and personal contacts during her public and political activities in Petersburg, Uman
and Kyiv as well as diplomatic missions in various governmental bodies of the Ukrainian Central
Rada (Council), Ukrainian State, the Directorate and the Information Bureau of the UPR diplomatic
mission.

NADIIA SHENDRYK: PAGES OF LIFE
N. Shendryk worked in the Kyiv History Museum from 1944 to 1988. She was promoted from a
research assistant to the chief of department. She took an active part in the reconstruction of the
museum after the war. She worked as a methodist and was a skilled specialist in the field of collection
management, exhibition and educational work at the museum. She is the author of many exhibitions
on topics of Slavic-Rus history. While creating permanent exhibition Eastern Slavs. Ancient State
dated 10th13th centuries, she defended the principle of new integrated display of archaeological
materials. N. Shendryks research interests are related to the archeology of Kyivan Rus.

In the article the questions about the architecture style harmonization, proposed primarily by architect,

Complicated situation of architecture style harmonization is researched, yet preliminary design plan

The Archaeology Museum of V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University was founded simultaneously
with the establishment of the University. The first collections began to form thanks to well-known
researchers and university professors: D.I. Bahalii, V.E. Danylevych, A.M. Pokrovskyi, E.P. Tryfiliev
and others. During the war, the museum collections were destroyed. In 19501960s, formation of the
museum collection continued thanks to the excavations headed by B.A. Shramko and V.I. Kadeiev.
Collections increase regularly; archaeological studies are conducted regularly too. Due to the university
administration, in 2015 the museum opened new premises and permanent archaeological expedition

The report analyzes the forms and principles of acquisitions for art museums collection in Ukraine
during the period discussed. It was determined that up to the 1920s donation was the predominant
form of acquisitions. Museum collections were completed without using the completeness principle.
In 1920s the State Museum Collection became the main source of the art museums completing.
Research expeditions were conducted to find and collect art objects.

The report is devoted to the methods of mass materials preservation in collections of the Archaeology
Museum of V.N. Karazin Kharkov National University, namely the use of boxes made of chemically
neutral plastic, which makes it possible to create proper conditions for materials preservation. This
methodology has been used in our museum since 2004 and has positively proven itself, so wed like to
share our experience.

APPLICATION OF X-RAY METHODOLOGY IN RESEARCH OF POORLY PRESERVED
ARCHAEOLOGICAL METAL
Aggressive soil environment often leads to severe destruction of archaeological metal finds. The
x-ray method of analysis, being applied to the objects from Kyiv Podils excavations and NKPHCP
collections, has significantly clarified not only the restoration task but also the research one, revealed
shapes, decoration and manufacture-method of the objects found. The most valuable information is a
Latin inscription on the both sides of the 12th century blade sword from the Spaska excavation.

INTERACTIVE LESSONS FOR PRIMARY SCHOOL CHILDREN IN THE MUSEUM
EXHIBITION ANCIENT HISTORY OF UKRAINE
The report touches upon the problem of working with primary school children in the Ancient History
of Ukraine exhibition hall, summarizes the experience of working with this age group, and offers how
to convey the information about the value of museum pieces to little visitors, to form an idea of the
passage of time, historical periods and so on.
Difficulties with the perception by primary school children the museum exhibition Ancient History
of Ukraine have prompted the Research and Education Department staff to find new forms of
interaction with them. Today, most of the interactive programs (up to 10) are designed specifically for
the museum archaeological department. Various forms and methods that have their pros and cons are
used in work with children. We offer to analyze them using examples that take place in NMUH.

the touch. The history of the money circulation in Ukraine. During the lecture on the history of
the money circulation within the Ukrainian historical lands, the visitors had a possibility to feel the
ancient coins and paper money by the touch. The article sheds light on the experience of realization
of the inclusive classes on numismatics with the poorly sighted children in the National Museum of
Ukrainian History.

The article deals with the achievements of the National Historical and Cultural Preserve Hetmans
Capital in the field of educational work with diferent age segments of children. The evolution of
the mid-term retrospect of various approaches to cooperation with pupils such as a guided-tour, a
lecture, a study group, an organization of childrens participation in research and educational activities,
archaeological and other researches are traced in the paper. The article confirms that a museum is
responsible for and capable to bring up the conscious citizens, knowing the history of their native
state.

THE MUSEUM DOBRANOCEK IN RZESZOW, THE MUSEUM FOR CHILDREN OF ALL
AGES
Wojciech Jama is a private collector of antiquities, famous for the collection that dedicated to Polish
animation: puppets, figurines, gadgets, scenarios and pictures. This collection has launched the unique
Museum of Dobranocek (bedtime fairy tales). Donated collection contained more than 2000 objects,
with estimated cost over 200.000 PLN. The entire idea to donate and present the collection came
to Wojciech Jama after the interview with local journalists. And the media followed the process of
creating the new museum in Rzeszw. Wojciech Jama had many challenges on the way to initiate the
Museum of Dobranocek, from administrative and notarial issues to construction an exhibition space.
The Museum of Dobranocek opened on March 22nd, 2009. Nowadays this is one of the most famous
and popular places for European tourists. Collection counts more than 5000 exhibits and the museum
still tries to gain new ones. Despite the museum is about the cartoons, the style is suitable not only for
children. The elder children can finally meet the characters from TV, which they saw many years ago.
Wojciech Jama is currently thinking about founding the Museum of Comics, which is his first passion.

PLINTHOS WITH THE PRINCES SIGN FROM THE EXCAVATIONS OF THE CHURCH OF
THE TITHES IN THE NMUH COLLECTION
In 2014 the restoration work of two interesting exhibits from the National Museum of Ukrainian
History was done. There were two plinthos from 10th century with the relief image of Trident, the
sign of Volodymyr the Great. Restoration was held to improve the expositional appearance of those
exhibits. Post-restoration examinations were done and new conclusions were drawn on the process of
imprinting the relief of Trident image. The authors tried to reproduce the process of plinth molding
and putting the relief image on it. They also paid attention to the history of exploring of these artifacts
and their analogues.

The publication is devoted to problems of restoration of porcelain and faience on the example of
restored monuments of leading Ukrainian enterprises dated by 19thearly 20th centuries from the
National Museum of Ukrainian History collection. Artefacts had signs of the previous restoration
and some traces of usage. Based on the research, a number of challenges in conducting restoration
interventions were revealed. Restored artefacts are the important components for the formation of the
museum exhibition, since they are the objects of cultural heritage of Ukraine.
