President [Outline]
Thesis: {Issue + WHY it MATTERS} Immigration has become a prominent
issue in this country. Many come over to the U.S because of war,
poverty, or even to seek better opportunities that are not provided
in their country. Unfortunately the deportation of many immigrants
has become a problem. Many are forced to be separated from their
families.

I.

Preamble - Founding Principles


A. Hook: Since 2013, nearly 483,421 unauthorized
immigrants were deported. This lead to a streak of over 2
million deportations since Obama stepped into office.
B. Obstruction of American Principle(s): The
Declaration of Independences states that one of the rights
we have as humans is, the pursuit of happiness. And it's
absolutely heartbreaking to see an immigrant come to this
country for exactly that, but instead are mistreated.
C. Thesis: When people come into this country
illegally, it is for many reasons. The main one is to simply
live a better life. But it doesn't become so simple by
living in fear that one day they will be taken away.

II. List of Complaints - Commentary Analysis


A. Positively Supporting Thesis: that is the fear
one or both of her parents may simply be gone, picked up by
federal immigration officials and put on the path of
deportation Eleven year old, Karla Ortiz highlights
exactly what it feels like to have parents who are
undocumented, when she speaks at the DNC.
B. Mention Counter argument as a point to reinforce
your Thesis: many people who are for deportation state that
immigrants should avoid being deported by coming here
legally. What they don't know is that the process of
applying for citizenship can take years for some people. So
their only solution is to migrate here illegally and hope
for the best.

III. Stirring Conclusion - And for the support of this Declaration, with a
firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence, we mutually pledge to

A. Thesis - Refresh/Spruce Up Your THESIS.:


Immigrants are often working for a better opportunity that
isn't given to them in their country. But it is
disappointing knowing that they are working in poor
conditions hoping that they won't be separated from their
families.
B. What you hope for and/or: my hope is for the
deportation of immigrants to be stopped
C. If topic is not addressed, what will happen: a
family relies on each other. And so many families will be
affected if this problem isn't solved
D. POWERFUL CLOSURE: everyone is here for a reason.
When someone migrates to this country, risking their lives,
it is clear that they are looking for something better.
