SUBMISSION OF SYNOPSIS:
School of Electrical Engineering has initiated the activity for Final Year Projects and it first
milestone is the submission of synopsis. All of you are instructed to make groups among your
classes and consult with Supervisors. A list of projects being offered by supervisors has also been
displayed on Notice Board.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR SYNOPSIS OF FYP:
1. The synopsis shall be computer typed (English- British, Font -Times Roman, Size-12
point) and printed on A4 size paper.
2. The Synopsis shall be typed on one side only with double space with a margin 3.5 cm on
the left, 2.5 cm on the top, and 1.25 cm on the right and at bottom.
3. In the synopsis, the title page [Refer sample sheet (inner cover)] should be given first.
This should be followed by index, notations/nomenclature.
4. The diagrams should be printed on a light/white background; Tabular matter should be
clearly arranged. Decimal point may be indicated by full stop(.)
5. The caption for Figure must be given at the BOTTOM of the Fig. and Caption for the
Table must be given at the TOP of the Table.
6. No group should exceed 4 project members.
SYNOPSIS COMPOSITION:
The composition of synopsis consists on the following sections and must be submitted to
respective program counselor on/before the deadline as mentioned in FYP calendar on Notice
Board.

Introduction:

The introduction part will include the brief introduction about the project to be developed,
technology used, field of project (if specialized one), any special technical terms about the
project.
Feasibility Study:
This will describe the very first step of engineering i.e. feasibility study of the project that
include the feasibility, need and significance of the project
Methodology/ Planning of work:
Methodology will include the steps to be followed to achieve the objective of the Project during
the project development.
Facilities required for proposed work:
Software/Hardware required for the development of the project.
Bibliography:
Here specify the description of the study material referred for the development of the project.
The references should be in proper IEEE Referencing Scheme.

FYP Calendar for BEE-FA11 Session

School of Electrical Engineering has initiated the exercise for Final year projects for 2016
session. The purpose of this exercise is to encourage the students of Electrical Engineering to
utilize their engineering knowledge and develop a standalone product which is practically solution
oriented. Furthermore after this exercise, the students will be able to develop enhanced Report
Writing and Presentation skills, which will be beneficial to them in industry.
