that of others.

how gullible he had been when he wasnt as smart. He has begun to doubt the
world around him. Im still a little angry that all the time people were
laughing and making fun of me because I wasnt so smart. When I become
intelligent like Dr. Strauss says then maybe Ill be like everyone else and
people will like me more and be friendly. He still doesnt truly believe in
himself like he used too, now that he can comprehend more he is becoming
more like us, self conscious and worried about what others think.

3. How do OTHERS view Charlie?
Text Evidence: People are still afraid of him, they still dont understand him
like before he had the operation; only now its because he is too smart. He got
fired from his job because the other workers no longer wanted him around,

and while trying to have a normal conversation he had made it so

complicated no one could understand. I tried to avoid all discussions of
intellectual concepts and keep the conversation on a simple everyday level
but she just stared at me blankly and asked me what I meant about the
mathematical variance equivalent in Dobermanns Fifth Concerto.
