After finishing up the last two chapters of Anansi Boys all of the random quotes and
missed pieces are all laid together perfectly. During chapters thirteen and fourteen Fat Charlie's
terrible luck throughout the book takes a turn for a better, along with those connected to Charlie.
As everything in the previous chapters were left in disarray Charlie does everything possible to
make sure everyone is taken care of. Charlie goes back to the land of the gods where he is
searching for the bird lady to nix his deal with her, in which he actually finds his father. Charlie
eventually finds the bird lady and she hands over the tongue of Spider which she previously
chopped off. During all of this drama, Daisy is trying to contact the police to tell them that Rosie
and her mother are being held captive by Grahame Coats. Instead, Rosie and her mother take
matters into their own hands and try to escape, in which they are actually saved by Maeve
Livingstone, who was busy haunting Mr. Coats for killing her. Now that everyone is safe once
again, an unexpected reveal of Charlie's son, Marcus occurs. Also as the book concludes instead
of Rosie and Charlie getting back together as I expected, Charlie and Daisy get engaged while
Spider and Rosie also get back together after she broke up with him.
Now that the book has concluded all of the previous confusion that I had throughout the
book no longer exists. With multiple different characters having dialogue in each chapter, but
with different settings and no correlation I was attempting to piece together the puzzle that
Gaiman had built. However, with all of this confusion the book did not end as I was predicting it
to, instead Charlies luck turned a 180 and everything began to go his way. Also, I was predicting
for Charlie and Rosie to get back together but Charlie actually married the woman that was

introduced by Spider. Though Spider brought many problems and unneeded drama he also
allowed Charlie to have closure and to become happy in the long run. Overall I found this book
to be extremely interesting once I could figure everything that was going on but it also kept me
on the edge of my seat as I read the text.
