90/90 pivot-based aiming system

90/90 (pocketing without side spin/english)

Pivot your HIPS to the center of the cue ball. You should now be lined up to make
the shot. If you pivot past center ball, don't try to fix it while your down, just get
up and start over.

WHAT IS THE "90-POSITION?"

The "90-Position" is one tip within the inside edge of the CB, on the same side of

the direction of the cut. One's cue starts on the left for "left cuts" and starts on
the right for "right cuts."

With banking, the "90-Position" is one tip within the inside edge of the CB, on the
same side of the direction of the mirrored pocket to which you're cutting.

The 90-90 position is the cue a 1/2-tip inside either the right or the left,
depending on the cut of the cue ball and the OB. You would start on the left for
left hand cuts, and right side on the right hand cuts.
Ranging from a few degrees to 1/2 ball cut as long as it is more than 2 diamonds
apart. In some cases, the 90-90 can also be used to cut typical 90-HALF shots for
longer shots.

If the CB-OB are less than 2-diamonds apart, a typical 90-90 shot could move to
90-HALF.
90/90 can be shot 85-90% of the time.

The 90-REVERSE alignment is only used for the thinnest cuts. The cue is aligned
from the pocket-side 90 on the CB to the opposite 90 on the OB.
NOTE:
Once the hip pivots to center, it should be abundantly clear weather or not the
player used the proper initial alignment. If you feel that you chose an incorrect
initial alignment, simply stand up, reset, and try again.

All 90-CENTER cuts are to be lined up to 90 to center as long as they are 2

diamonds or less apart.
If the shot is more of a cut than 90-CENTER, then it should be a 90-Reverse.
90-CENTER will probably be shot 10-15% of the time.
