LESSON PLAN
AIM
To impart Knowledge on Testing and quality control of different yarn counts and fabric
testing instruments.
Course Objectives
To acquire Knowledge to the students about fibre, yarn and fabric testing instruments.
To make the students to understand about the yarn properties such as counts, single yarn
Strength, lea strength and yarn twist and evenness characteristics.
To understand the students about fabric properties such as handle, tensile strength, tearing
Strength, abrasion resistance, pilling resistance, draping and crease recovery angle of
Woven and knitted fabrics.
To create awareness to the students about seam properties, colour fastness test and
dimensional stability of apparels.
