To ensure your machine is protected in the event of a

fire, audible and visual signals alert the operator to any
problem or alarm conditions. These alerts are also stored
on the Control Units internal log for troubleshooting
and are displayed on the LCD display, which can be
programmed to your local language.

In the event the battery connection is severed during a

fire, or if no vehicle battery connection is available, the
Control Units internal battery provides up to one year
of standalone power.

INTEGRATING WITH TELEMATICS

Telematics is a growing buzzword in the mobile equipment
industry. Simply put, it is a range of technologies that allow
remote monitoring of mobile equipment.

The AFEX Control Unit can connect with vehicle monitoring

systems such as CAT Product Link or Komatsu Komtrax. Using
existing outputs from the AFEX system and inputs on the
telematics system, end users can monitor the AFEX system
for problem, alarm, and discharge status.
Dont have vehicle monitoring system?
AFEX can provide one!

CONNECTIVITY
Featuring multiple input and output connectivity options, the AFEX Control Unit provides the field-proven capability to connect
to vehicle monitoring and control systems. Using outputs from the AFEX system and inputs on the vehicle telematics system,
end users can remotely monitor the AFEX system and integrate the AFEX system with vehicle systems. For autonomous
vehicle applications, the AFEX system can configured to discharge manually when signaled by the vehicle remote control.
