The National Service Training Program (NSTP), is a civic education and

defense preparedness program for Filipino tertiary education students instituted by
the Government of the Philippines on 23 January 2002 by virtue of Republic Act 9163,
otherwise known as the "National Service Training Program (NSTP) Act of 2001.It aims
to promote and integrate values educ.,transformational leadership, spirit of patriotism
and nationalism and sustainable social mobilization for youth development, community
building and national security.

On our first day,we meet our NSTP officer Sir. Rizaldy Veranga.he discussed about
the meaning of NSTP. He also said the rules and regulation when it comes in NSTP. I
only remembered 2 rules .respect others and wear your proper NSTP uniform. Im
so nervous but more on that Im also excited.

Before NSTP. I am a very shy person who doesnt participate on any activities. Im
always quite never speak to my classmate. Except to my best friends. I have full of
fear that I cant have many friends, and participate to my classmate even though I cant
do it. But then I realize nothing can happen if I never participate to them, I want to
develop my knowledge, I want to have many friends and I want to finish my second
year. I mean NSTP is part of my subject so that I always present in this subject, but I
have 2 days absent because of street dancing, we always practicing street dancing so
that my focus on that subject has lessen.

Im very thankful that we have NSTP subject. I have learn more like participating,
respect others and communicate. the most memorable moment in our NSTP is our
team building experience, the truth is I have never join in games but im happy because
we join to lessen the garbage in our community.
In our next sem. I want to learn more to enhance my knowledge about this subject
and the importance of NSTP.
