Owl Pillows

Owl Pillows in Two Sizes

This pattern features an adorable and cuddly


Owl Pillow in two sizes!
Using different types of yarn, different yarn weights, and different hook
sizes will give you a new look every time!
Easy/Beginner/Advanced Beginner Pattern: color changes, decreases/increases
and working in the round.

Owl Pillows
Materials:

Scrap balls of WW Yarn. If using 2 colors, roughly 2oz of each.


Small Amount of WW white for eyes.
Small Amount of WW beak color. (I just used one of the colors from my owl)
2- 5/8 buttons (mine are from a variety pack of colored buttons)
Polyester fiberfill (these take more than you think, so have at least a bag)
I hook for body
G hook for eyes
Large eye needle for assembly
Gauge: using I hook & WW yarn, 6 or 7sc x 6rows = 2x2
Finished Size: Small: 7-1/4W x 9-1/2H
Large: 8-1/2W x 11-1/2H

Small Pillow: Join each row!! Always start your row in the join space!!
R1- ch13, 2sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in 10ch, 3sc in last ch, (working on opposite
side of starting ch) sc in 10ch, sc in sm ch as first 2sc. (26sc)
R2- ch1, 2sc in join sp and next sc, sc in 10, 2sc in next 3sc, sc in 10, 2sc in last. (32)
R3- ch1, sc in each. (32)
R4- ch1, (sc in 1sc, 2sc in next sc) 2x, sc in 10sc, repeat () 3x, sc in 10sc, repeat ()

Pupil will use a coordinating color. Outer edges will be white.

join, (1hdc in 1hdc, 2hdc in next)
around to last hdc, 1hdc in last. Join

Finish off, sew button to center of
pupil, attach to face.

Beak: Use G hook


Ch5, sl st in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next, hdc in next, dc in last. Finish off, leaving a
long sewing piece. Tuck small loose end in and sew to face between the eyes.

sm- same/sp- space/st- stitch/BLO-Back Loop Only/beg-beginning/inv dec- invisible decrease
Inv Dec: work a sc dec as normal, only dont go through both loops, go through the front loops ONLY of
the stitches you are decreasing.
