pursuit of your profession, am I correct?
4. Is that for forensic firearms study only, or ballistics study only, or both?
5. When you say a "short study or program", what does that mean? How short it is?
(From what year/month of the year up to what year/month of the year)
6. Did that short study in Cambodia contributed to your present position in the PNP crime
lab as F/B expert?
7. Madame witness, would you agree with me that the methods and instruments that are
used in criminal investigations differ from one country to another?
8. Would you agree as well that Cambodia, with respect to criminal investigations, has a
different context as compared to that of the Philippines?
9. Madame witness, you mentioned in your testimony, that recently, the PNP has adopted
the so-called Integrated Ballistics Identification System, am I correct?
10. On what year did the PNP adopt this modern system?
11. But before the adoption of that modern technology, we have recently used the so-called
traditional concept of obtaining fingerprints, am I correct?
12. On what year, did you officially acquire the position of a forensic firearms/ballistic
examiner?
13. In your testimony, you mentioned that as an expert in your chosen field, you have
previously testified in at least 27 murder and homicide cases all over the country, am I
correct?

14. Out of the 27 cases that you have handled, will you please specify how many is under the
traditional concept, and how many is under the IBIS?
15. And the case of Mr. Ryan Ng, the victim, is under the modern concept or the IBIS, am I
correct?
16. Madame Witness, in conducting a forensic firearm/ballisic exam to get the fingerprints of
the assailant, are you required to be present in the crime scene?
17. (If not), somebody from any law-enforcement agency will turn it over to you, am I
correct?
18. So, madame witness, since you are not physically present in the crime scene, you cannot
absolutely determine with certainty that the shell casing of the bullet under your custody
is exactly the same shell casing of the bullet obtained from the scene of the crime?
19. That there is possibility that the shell casing was replaced with another one, and the
fingerprints from the cadaver of Mr. Ryan Ng were only used to fabricate the evidence to
conceal the true identity of the assailant?
