NATIVES CRICKET CLUB


CONSTITUTION

1. Name
The Club shall be called the 'Natives Cricket Club', and herein to be
referred to as "NCC"

2. Colours & Logo


The NCC colours shall be green and blue and the Club logo shall be
a stroking batsman on a green shield.

3. Objective
NCC is a non-profit making amateur club with an objective
towards encouragement and development of cricket at all levels
within the community and within the sport, providing
opportunities for recreation, coaching and competition.

4. Membership
Membership is open to all without discrimination, subject to
approval by the NCC Committee. Application for membership of
the club shall be by completion of a membership application form
and by payment of the relevant subscription/joining fees as
determined by the Club Committee.

All members will be subject to the regulations of the constitution


and, by joining the club, will be deemed to accept these
regulations and the clubs rules and codes of conduct.

The Club Committee may refuse membership, or remove it, only


for good cause such as conduct or character likely to bring the
club or cricket into disrepute

There shall be 3 classes of membership available. These are:

Full Member entitled to all privileges of the club and a right


to vote at the General Meeting of the club

Associate Member entitled to participate in club events with


lower priority than full members, with no voting right and shall
not be given office.

Life Member - entitled to all privileges of the club and a right


to vote at the General Meeting of the club

Honorary Non-Playing Life Member privileged to double


votes at the General Meeting of the club.

5. General Meetings
The Annual General Meeting of the Club shall be held on or before
31st of July each year or as soon thereafter as the Committee may
decide.
The business of the Annual General Meeting shall be to:
Confirm the minutes of the previous Annual General Meeting
and any General Meetings held since the last Annual General
Meeting
Receive the accounts for the year from the Treasurer
Elect the Officers of the Club (i.e. President; Chairperson;
Members)
Review club subscription rates and agree them for the
forthcoming year
Transact such other business received in writing by the
Secretary from Full Members 14 days prior to the meeting and
included on the agenda.

Only paid-up Full Members, Life Members and Honorary Life


Members shall be shall be entitled to vote at the Annual General
Meeting. Associate Members may NOT vote at the Annual General
Meeting.

The Quorum of the Annual General Meeting shall be 10 members


eligible to vote.

Special General Meetings may be convened by the General


committee or on receipt by the Secretary of a request in writing
from not less than 6 Full Members of the club.

6. Club Committee
i) Positions
The Committee of NCC shall be as follows:
President
Vice President
Secretary
Treasurer
Web Chair
Team Captain

ii) Duties
(A) President
The President shall preside over all meetings of NCC, both
public and private.
The President shall be the official representative of NCC in all
matters.
The President shall have the power to call regular and special
meetings of NCC.
The President shall have the power to form sub-committees
and to appoint their respective chairpersons.
The President shall perform or delegate all duties not
specifically outlined in this constitution, as required by NCC.
The President will be jointly responsible for the booking of the
practice nets and also the custody of the team equipments.
The President will be jointly responsible for the selection of the
team to represent the NCC in cricket matches and
tournaments.
President shall clearly define roles and responsibilities of each
officer, and assign duties to them appropriately

(B) Vice President


The Vice President shall assume all responsibilities of the
President in his absence.
The Vice President shall perform all duties assigned to him by
the President.
The Vice President will be jointly responsible for the booking of
the practice nets and also the custody of the team equipments.
The Vice President will be jointly responsible for the selection
of the team to represent the NCC in cricket matches and
tournaments.
The Vice President shall ensure that the duties assigned to each
officer are being delegated effectively by each officer.

(C) Secretary
The Secretary shall take minutes of NCC meetings.
The Secretary shall conduct all correspondence for NCC.
The Secretary shall circulate publicity information if needed.
The Secretary shall compile NCCs report information.
The Secretary will be jointly responsible for the booking of the
practice nets and also the custody of the team equipments.
The Secretary will be jointly responsible for the selection of the
team to represent the NCC in cricket matches and
tournaments.
The Secretary shall be responsible for keeping an updated
inventory list of all the equipment being used.

(D) Treasurer
The Treasurer shall keep budget and account records up-to
date in the clubs official website.
The Treasurer shall collect dues from members.
The Treasurer shall prepare and submit budgets on request.
The Treasurer shall oversee fund-raising activities.
The Treasurer will be jointly responsible for the booking of the
practice nets and also the custody of the team equipments.
The Treasurer shall perform all duties assigned to him by the
President.
The Treasurer will be jointly responsible for the selection of the
team to represent the NCC in cricket matches and
tournaments.

(E) Team Captain


The Team Captain shall be the official representative of NCC
during the course of a match.
The Team Captain shall be responsible for performance and
discipline of the team during the course of a match.
The Team Captain will be jointly responsible for the booking of
the practice nets and also the custody of the team equipments.
The Team Captain will be jointly responsible for the selection of
the team to represent the NCC in cricket matches and
tournaments.
The Team Captain shall perform all duties assigned to him by
the President.

(F) Web Chair


The Web Chair shall be responsible for regularly updating the
website.
The Web Chair shall be responsible for taking pictures at
various events of Cricket Club for the website.

7. Election of Club Committee


All Committee members, excepting the position of Captain & Web
Chair, shall be elected at the Annual General Meeting of the club
from and by the members (except associate members) of NCC,
and shall be elected for a period of one year, but shall be eligible
for re-election to the same office or to another office the
following year

The Captain & Web Chair shall be elected at the Committee


Meeting from the members (except associate members) of NCC
by the President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer, and
shall be elected for a period of four months, but shall be eligible
for re-election to the same office or to another office the
following period.

The Committee shall have the power to fill all vacancies in the
Committee.

In the event of an election resulting to an equal vote, the vote of


President (the preceding President in the case of a Presidents
election) shall supersede the decision.

8. Subscription & Admission Fee


A monthly subscription will be levied from each member for
training and other team costs, and is payable on the first day of
each respective month.

All persons seeking membership of the club shall be levied an


admission fee. The same shall be applied for members applying
for re-admission.

The club committee may revise the club subscription and


admission fee at the general meetings.

Any member in arrears of subscription and/or other dues shall not


be entitled to attend General Meetings or participate in any
events of the club.

9. Alterations to the Constitution


Any proposed alterations to the club Constitution may only be
considered at an Annual or Special General Meeting, convened
with the required written notice of the proposal. Any alteration or
amendment must be proposed by a Full Member of the club and
seconded by another Full Member. Such alterations shall be
passed if supported by not less than two-thirds of those Full
Voting Members present at the meeting, assuming that a quorum
has been achieved.

10. Chaos Clause


Procedures not specifically defined in this constitution shall be
decided by the NCC committee as and when a need arise.
