Installing the GUI Layout Toolbox for

Installation
This document covers installation of the GUI Layout Toolbox for MATLAB which is used by the Sim.I.am
simulator. The steps in this document should be followed before attempting to run Sim.I.am because
Sim.I.am relies on this library and will not be able to run without it. This toolbox only needs to be
installed once. The instructions in this document apply to MATLAB R2014b and later, and a license
for the current version of MATLAB is available to all students for the duration of the course.
Step 1: Go to http://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/fileexchange/47982-gui-layout-toolbox.
Step 2: On the upper-right, click the Download Toolbox button. A dialog will appear prompting you
to select a location for saving the file GUI Layout Toolbox 2.1.2.mltbx. Select a location that youll
remember, e.g., your Downloads folder.
Step 3: Open MATLAB and navigate to the folder where the GUI Layout Toolbox 2.1.2.mltbx file
was saved. Double click on this file.
Step 4: The following dialog will appear:

Click Install.
Step 5: On the next screen, check the box to agree to the terms of service for this toolbox, then click
OK.
Step 6: After a few moments, the following picture will appear at the upper-middle of your screen,
indicating that installation is complete:
