Excavate the area for pipe (1 m) wide , (1.5 m) depth and for r
manholes (2.1 m * 2.1 m * 1.7 m high).
Transportation of waste material to a suitable site to be determined
and approved by supervisor Eng. and Camp Manger.
Supply and fill a (10 cm) layer of clean sand for bedding.
THE PIPE TO BE SUPPLIED AND INSTALLED IN THE
EXCAVATED TRENCH WILL CONSIST OF DOUBLE WALL
HDPE CORRUGATED PIPE FOR SEWAGE SYSTEMS WITH
OUTTER DIAMETER (OD) OF 600 MM AND STIFFNESS

Supply and fill a 20 cm layer of structural backfill (clean silty sand)

diameter for dealing and infiltrating all Waste Water , 6 m depth. All
the drilled depth should be cased by perforated double wall
corrugated pipes of inner diameter 80 cm minimum (maximum

depth particularly in the pipe bottom). Gravel pack of min. size 15

Item Description

Septic Tank 1: Provide materials and build septic tank of three

chambers of internal dimension (LxWxD, 4.0x2.0 x min 2.0 m under
inlet pipe level) M, according to attached technical drawings and
Supervisor Engineer instructions. The work includes excavations,
cast reinforced concrete slab floor of 20 cm thick, (1:2:4), 12 mm
steel bars, 15x15 cm C/C, with 30 cm thickness JALMOD Layer
under concrete. Construct side walls of reinforced concrete
according to attched design drawings... with partition baffle walls.
2/3 m from inlet side. The baffle walls should have at least two hole
of (length 40cm, height 20cm) in distance of 1.6m from septic tank
inlet pipe is 2m over septic tank floor and septic tank outlet is 1.82m
from septic tank floor. Fit T-Joints on both inlet and outlet pipes, Tjoints to being 20cm long on both ends. Cast top slap by reinforced
concrete, 15cm thick, steel bars 12mm @ 15cm c/c. The slab must
fit smoothly and tightly onto the walls. Leave openings in the top
slab for two manholes, (20x20)cm each, positioned exactly over the

inlet and the outlet pipes. Close with two heavy duty cast iron/GRP
type manhole covers or castting reinforced concrete (approved by
supervisor engineer). Install ventilation pipe PVC 2.5". fix it to a
close side wall of latrines/shower. Install Min. of 6 m pipe of 4".
Make sure the septic tank is fully water tight. The work includes
excavations a hole of suitable dimensions with a flat bottom, leaving
a space of at least 20/30 cm around the tank. In the case of heavy
ground (e.g., clayey subsoil and/or groundwater, the distance must
be at least 50 cm. Spread a 30 cm deep layer of 2/6 washed
gravel/JALMOOD on the bottom of the excavation to allow the tank
to rest on a uniform and level base. Excavated material must not be
used as backfill. The excavation must be a minimum of 1 m from
any structures. Avoid impacts and contact with sharp-edged objects
that could compromise the integrity of the structure. The work also
includes all required works for avoiding surface runoff infiltration
keeping mark the boundary with suitable warning signs.
