Product Description: AuteX8610/O
AUTEX8160 is Terabit Capacity Wireless Access Controller for Telco
environment. It is a 10-Slot chassis with up to 8 I/O module slots support
large number of access point management and data forwarding, meeting
the demands of the largest carrier WLAN deployments. It works in
conjunction with Autelan AE / AF / AJ series access points and the
Autelan NMS AuteView to provide high reliability and performance,
cost-effective wireless LAN system and ensures exceptional end-user
experience. AUTEX8160 is capable of controlling up to 16K centralized
AP and providing unparalleled simplicity and elegance on wireless management. AUTEX8160
delivers a wide range of network features to large campus, Wireless ISP, and carrier-class WiFi
deployment.
Featured its high-performance hardware platform with multi-core processor and speed-up
application engine, the AUTEX8160 provides an amazing data forwarding
capacity, reliability
and professional user & AP management capacity.
Featured a wide array of deployment modes, such as local forwarding, CAPWAP tunnel
forwarding, EBR forwarding, 802.1Q VLAN binding with SSID, AUTEX8160 can be seamlessly
integrated to the existing network infrastructure and be compatible with
the existing switch,
router, firewall, portal server without any disruption of current network. Completing the
essential configuration, AUTEX8160 will automatically discover and configure all models
access point.

Wireless system management, self-healing and self-optimizing features, such as the

dynamic adjustment of RF channel and transmission power of AP to avoid interference, traffic
flow control or bandwidth capping, load balance per data flow or user traffic. All the features
ensure AUTEX8160 a perfect working state.
AUTEX8160 has embedded portal server and could redirect user packet with flexible and
friendly web authentication interface. AUTEX8160 could be deployed as a BRAS providing
wired and wireless user authentication. It also provides reliable firewall and NAT capabilities to
deliver multiple choices to setup your wireless network.
Comprehensive End to End Security. AUTEX8160 has multiple security features, such as
MAC-based, 802.1X, 802.11i-based and WAPI security features for data encryption, assigning
different application priority for specific user group, supporting security features.
Carrier-class reliability. AUTEX8160 supports two controller modules; offering N+1

redundancy and backup feature base on VRRP, which delivers high security, availability, and
reliability required by large scale deployment and mission-critical business applications. All the
managed APs will switch to the standby control module automatically without user access
disruption or disconnection if the master control module fails to operate
AUTEX8160 is designed to support large scale and carrier-class wireless deployment. It depresses
your wireless network deployment and operation cost. Its really ideal for your scheme.
