Application Function Development and Integration of High Speed

Bus Transfer(HBT) Functionality

Technologies: Freescale Code Warrior, SCL (Substation Configuration Language)

Tools, Lauter Batch Debugger, Visual Studio, MATLAB
Responsibility: Writing code to interface the Analog signals from the fpga to the
HBT function.
Role:
1. Writing the code to bring the Analog channels to the SRC core of the HBT
functionality
2. Testing the SRC core in MATLAB
3. Flashing the code into IED and testing the Function
4. Writing configuration using PCM.

Base Software Development for New BIO card and Support of Trip
Circuit Supervision for the Output contacts
Technologies: Freescale Code Warrior, Lauter Batch Debugger, SCL tool
Responsibility: Interfacing the New BIO card and implementing the Trip circuit
Supervision for the output contacts.
Role:
1. Integrate the new card to interact with the IED by writing the device driver files
for it.
2. Write code to interact with the fpga to implement the TCS functionality for the

contacts.

UNMANNED AIR VEHICLE (UAV) QUADCOPTER
Technologies: Code Vision AVR, LabView, GPS, Accelerometer, Barometer,
Gyroscope
Role:
1. To design and control the flight of simple quadcopter.
2. To convert the quadcopter into an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) capable of
putting a desired region into surveillance by interfacing Global Positioning System
(GPS).
3. A mathematical model of the system has been developed and used as the basis
of a suitable controller designed. A Kalman filter has also been designed and
incorporated into the control system. The filter is capable of determining craft

attitude based on feedback from orthogonally positioned gyroscopes and

accelerometers.
4. A simulation model of the above project was also developed using virtual
instrumentation software LabView
5. As a Part of this project, I have integrated various sensors to Microcontroller
using SPI,I2C,UART,ADC conversion etc
