Safety on the road and in school
To ensure pupils learn what are the safety rules on the road and in school.
Pupils will be able to:
i.
state 2 safety rules for each place respectively (at the school, on the road, at the playground).
ii.
give at least 2 reason why it is important to observe safety rules.
iii.
construct 5 sentences using vocabulary learnt.
2.2.4 Able to read and understand a paragraph of 5-8 simple sentences.

Application

1. Teacher divides the class into groups of


3s.
2. Pupils are given a sentence-construction
activity based on pictures and vocabulary
learnt. (Appendix E)
3. Once pupils have completed, they are to
use the sentences constructed to complete
a tree map on the board. (whole class
activity)
4. Each group will contribute a sentence
each to the tree map; hence, forming a
complete map on road safety.
