The e-mails or letters test their ability to write to an Englishspeaking friend or colleague.
Have your sts read the task information aloud.
Ex. 1 and 2. p.38, 39. Have a look at the useful language for
formal or informal writing in ex. 1 and at beginnings and
endings in ex. 2. Let them some time to do them both.
Correct as a class group.
Go ex. 3 on p. 39 and match the headings with the group of
expressions.
Got to p. 42 exam practice and brainstorm some ideas that
they would include in the email.

Students write an email individually as a mock exam setting
a fix time of no more than 15 min. Then, they hand it in for
you to check or you may also have some of them reading
their emails aloud and eliciting more options from the rest.

Two students will make a mock oral of part 2. Go to p. C3
and project the pictures. Read the instructions in ex. 2 p. 63
If time, choose another two students to do the same but
using the pictures on p. C4 and the instructions of the task
on p. 63
Monitor and give any suggestion, if needed.
