The concept of diversity presents both extraordinary promise and daunting
challenges for education employees. On the one hand, educators and students have more opportunities than ever to learn about different experiences, languages, and cultures, whether through classroom curriculum, the Internet, or a conversation with a peer or a neighbor(NEA Handbook 2008). As an educator, I have to wear many hats and take on many responsibilities. It is my responsibility to equip children with the tools necessary to help them to become lifelong achievers in our every change global society. In order to obtain such a goal, I as an educator must understand the importance of diversity and ways in which children within the classroom will come from a range of diverse communities. Effective and correct usage of technology can assist educators to bridge the gaps with in the classroom among multiple diverse groups. Skills, Knowledge, and Disposition During the courses and field experience that I have had an opportunity to do, I have obtained the skill in creating high order, diverse, and technology infused lessons. The lessons created provide support to students with disabilities, low SES, and sensitive to different ethnicities. The field experiences has also equipped my understanding in web 2. 0 tools that can enhance the academic achievement and performance for every learner. The courses and field experiences has broaden my understanding and expanded my horizon in that every lesson is created to support every learner within my class and other classrooms as well. One shoe does not fit all, but there is a shoe for every foot. My disposition has been altered and opened to embrace the challenges of our every changing diverse world. My mission is to now teach children but to teach every child as an individual. Activities that help demonstrate me understanding
