SYNOPSIS

PROJECT REPORT
DESIGN & ESTIMATIMATION ON
DOUBLE STORIED FLAT (M.I.G)
(2015-2016)

INTRODUCTION
There are mainly three basic needs of human existence
i.e., food, clothes and shelter.

Shelter has been the major requirement or need for


human and from past times human have being making
efforts in improving their standard of living.
The possession of shelter besides being a basic need,
given a feeling of security, responsibility and shows a
social status of a man. A basic requirement a person
wants is:
A peaceful environment
Safety from climatic conditions and other hazards
General facilities for community of his residential
area.
The engineer must keep in mind some major points
while construction of building or any other structure.
Some of the points are as follows:
Municipal conditions in the selected area.
To follow building by laws
Surrounding environment, water supply system and
sewage arrangement.
Aeration and ventilation etc

AIM OF THE PROJECT


The aim of the project is to Design & Estimate the
residential (M.I.G) flats to produce the best cost

estimates to the level of project development, inclusive


of contingencies reflective of the project risks and the
project phase, using the most accurate and complete
project and pricing information available at the time the
estimate is prepared. The goal of these Guidelines is to
provide the principles and framework for the
Infrastructure to produce project cost estimates which
meet that philosophy.

SITE LOCATION
Our proposed site is located at Surendra Nagar opposite
to new High Court, Chinhat, Lucknow.
There is also a highway (NH 24) which passes our site
and its about 2.5 km from the proposed site. The
surrounding area around the site is developed and there
are drains and roads provided by the municipal
corporation.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF SITE


The plot is situated at the junction of the two roads and
is surrounded by few plots. Since, the plot is corner side
east facing, the first road which is in front of it is 6.6 ft.

wide and is approximately at the same level as the plot.


The second road which runs parallel to the other side of
the plot is also 6.6 ft. wide and also at the same ground
level as the plot.
The dimension of the plot is, the length of the plot 50 ft.
and the width of the plot is 33.34 ft. which total up to the
area of 1667 sq ft. There is already a municipal drain
which runs along the side of the plot.
Since the building is a made up of structural
components such as floor slab, roof slab, lintel,
foundation, beam and column. They should be made up
of good quality materials as specified by Indian Buero of
Standard.
Finally all construction work should be done under the
supervision of experience civil engineer, junior engineer
and skilled labours.

Since, the flat consist of only two floors i.e. Ground floor
and First floor (G+2). Following are the facilities
provided:
