Materials: - Sketchbooks/ pencils/ erasers - laptops - powerpoint of perspective - 8.5x11 paper - pencil crayons - rulers Preparation: - gather materials Differentiation/ adaptations: Visual powerpoint Written instructions on the board Have students who have finished outlining their pages, help other students Lesson Procedure: Introduction (Total time = 5) 1. Activity 1: What is perspective?
Bring up powerpoint Go through definitions of perspective Discuss art history in terms of perspective Discuss assignment Activity 2: Start Assignment Have students take a 7.5x11 piece of paper Grid the paper as suggested use a ruler make the pencil marking VERY light o One corner to opposite corner (diagonal) o Again to the opposite side From the centre (where the lines intersect), use the ruler to measure up 2 inches (5 cm) from the centre and put a mark o Do the same on all of the diagonal lines Connect the lines to make a box Discuss where lines of the room lay o Outline where these are Use this perspective grid to make objects o Provide students with an example Assessment: Lesson Reflection: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7TXEZ4tP06c
