String Art instructions

1. Pick a template to do
Christmas Tree
Cross
Heart
Make your own
o Email me and I will print off a
template
2. Pick a board
Black
White
Wood grain
3. Layout your wood
Put template sheet down on the board
Tape it in place
Put markings of where your nails are
going to go (about every 1inch)

4. Line up your nail on the markings

Hammer nail in place
BE CAREFUL
Dont nail your hand! Ask a friend to help
Nail should go about halfway in
The board is underneath so you dont nail
through the board
Make sure all the nails are secured
5. Once nails are in...
Pick a thread colour
Tie the thread in a knot to the first nail
Wrap thread around each nail
o There are different patterns you can
do!
o Make sure thread is nice and tight
Best way to wrap
o One by one opposite sides
o 1 skip multiple (2-4) then opposite
Wrap each nail first
o Then go in and overlap
