This study aims to determine the risk factor of waywardness of TB Pulmonary Patient for Taking Medicine at Bahteramas Public Hospital Southeast Sulawesi. The type of the study is an analytic observational with control case design. The population in this study are 345 people with the sample size consists of 45 cases, 45 controls and taken by purposive sampling. The method of analysis using test Odds Ratio (OR). The results shows that the variables of drug side effects OR = 5.901 (95% CI: 2052-12628), PMO OR = 2.200 (95% CI: 1908-5328), the distance OR = 3.700 (95% CI: 1411-9704) and work OR = 1.333 (95% CI: 0564-3151) is the risk factor of waywardness of TB Pulmonary patient for taking medicine. The health workers are expected to monitor and explain about drug side effects to the patient constantly during treatment and held regular meetings between health officials and the PMO about their duties in treating TB Pulmonary patient.
