Artifact: ITEC 7470 Annotated Bibliography/Literature Review
Reflection
This Annotated Bibliography/Literature Review artifact was completed during the fall
semester of 2014 for my ITEC 7470 course on educational research about online project-based
learning. The literature review artifact provides my summary and assessment of the research
articles I used for my exploration of important instructional technology topics such as projectbased learning, culturally-responsive pedagogy, and educational reform. This artifact highlighted
the importance of being able to summarize key concepts, assess the caliber of the chosen
research, and relate the research findings to the selected topic of online project-based learning.
This artifact demonstrates my commitment to the continual growth of my knowledge and
skills of current and emerging technologies. It also showcases my ability to synthesize and apply
new knowledge and skills to improve personal productivity and professional practice.
Throughout my graduate study, I have kept an atmospheric perspective of my goals for inspiring,
supporting, and advocating for greater technology integration and cultural-responsiveness in
student learning. This combined annotated bibliography and literature review was a beneficial
exercise in the process of continuous learning because it required careful selection of high
quality peer-reviewed research. I focused on research from leading experts in the field of
education and instructional technology. The research articles chosen provided a wealth of
knowledge and skills for achieving successful online project-based learning opportunities for
