How To Integrate OpManager with Cyberoam

Overview
With todays rapid growth in IT, network performance management has become a challenging task for
network administrators. ManageEngine OpManager is a powerful, affordable solution for monitoring
the performance of networks and servers without any hassles.
OpManager provides out-of-the-box support for monitoring critical resources on servers, routers,
switches, firewalls, domain controllers etc. Besides the device availability, the other resources
monitored include CPU, disk, and memory utilization, traffic utilization, availability of critical services
etc.
Furthermore, the network monitoring software combines an easy-to-use interface that lets you quickly
deploy the product and also apply your organization's monitoring policies across multiple devices
quickly.

Scenario
Integrate OpManager with Cyberoam.
This document consists of the following sections:
1. Cyberoam Configuration
2. OpManager Configuration

Cyberoam Configuration
You must be logged on to the Web Admin Console as an administrator with Read-Write permission
for relevant feature(s).

Step 1: Agent Configuration


Go to System > SNMP > Agent Configuration and Enable SNMP Agent to configure agent.

Click Apply to save changes.

Step 2: Add New Community


Community is a group of SNMP Managers and SNMP Agent may belong to one or more than one
community. Agent will not respond to the requests from management stations that does not belong its
communities. Each Community can support SNMPv1, SNMPv2c or both. Appliance sends traps to all
the communities. You must specify a trap version for each community.
Go to System > SNMP > Community and click Add to add a new community according to the table
shown below.

Click OK and the Community will be created successfully.

OpManager Configuration
Follow the below mentioned steps to Integrate OpManager with Cyberoam.

Step 1: Starting the Web Client


Open a JavaScript-enabled Web browser such as Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator.
Type http://<host_name>:<port_number> in the

Here, <host_name> is the name of the machine in which OpManager is running and <port_number>
is the port that you have chosen to run OpManager Web Server during installation.
Type the User Name and Password and click Login. The default user name and password are
'admin' and 'admin' respectively.
Note:
Alternatively, if the OpManager server is running on Windows machines, you can start the Web client
using Start > Programs > ManageEngine OpManager > OpManager Web Client.

Step 2: Credential Library


Click on Settings icon and then navigate to Discovery > Credentials and click Add New option to
add new credentials.

Enter the values for the SNMP Parameters and click Add as shown in the screen below.

Step 3: Add agent device


Click on Settings icon and then navigate to Discovery > Add Device to add the IP address of SNMP
agent and select the credentials associated with it.
Enter the values for the device parameters and click Add device as shown in the screen below.

Once the device is added, it will show the device listed in its Inventory.

Step 4: Select the required services


Navigate to Monitor > Service Monitors section and click on Add Monitor icon.

Select the required services and then click on Add Monitors.

Once the services are selected it will be displayed in Monitors > Service Monitors section as shown
below:

Step 8: Download the MIB file


Download MIB File attached in the article Configure Cyberoam as SNMP Agent. Place it in the
installation folder where you have saved OpManager.
