SUBLETTE COUNTY Sublette County voters are encouraged

to learn as much as they can about
Republican and Democratic primary candidates from county to
Congress.

Tuesday, Aug. 16, from 7 a.m. to 7
p.m. for both Republican and Democrat parties and include one vitally
important race Wyomings sole U.S.
Representative, which has eight Republican and two Democratic candidates.
U.S., Wyoming seats
The top three contenders for incumbent U.S. Rep. Cynthia Lummis
seat as shown in recent surveys include two experienced legislators
from western Wyoming Wyoming
Sen. Leland Christiansen and
Wyoming Rep. Tim Stubson and

The recent GOP and Democratic

Wyoming Senate District 14s seat
also is open with Sen. Stan Coopers
pending retirement and Republicans
Fred Baldwin and Don Lamborn will
face off Aug. 16 to be the GOP candi-

date against sole Democratic candidate Charlotte Seday.

In another local contest, Wyoming
House District #20 incumbent Rep.
Albert Sommers of Pinedale is unchallenged in the GOP primary, as is
Democrat Jeanne Brown, so both will
be battling through to the Nov. 8 general election.
These candidates are crisscrossing
the state in the next couple weeks to
get their messages out to voters. Debates, forums and other Q&A reports
can inform and help voters make educated decisions that match their own
beliefs and principles.

5 special election last year.
The Sublette County Chamber of
Commerce government affairs committee posted its local Aug. 4 and 11
forums on YouTube for those who
want to view the candidates questionand-answer forum. Voters are encouraged to note topics on which they
would like more information from a
candidate before the primaries.

Vote

David Burnett, M.D.

Republican Candidate

for Sublette County Commissioner

I believe that as a county we must establish
priorities for spending in preparation for
impending decreased revenues.
A challenge will be to maintain services
according to those priorities.
Problem solving is a collective process. A
strong leadership team will be critical to the
challenges of establishing a vision for the
future of our county.
