Learners will be able to tell small moment stories by creating a foldable and bring them to life by making characters move and speak
with 80% accuracy.

Anticipatory Set/Hook/Daily Review: Watch a Powtoon video on the SmartBoard of an engaging small
moment story narrated by the speaker of an exciting small moment. This video will include sound, dialog,
and a lot of movement.

Input/Modeling or Present Information: Use anchor chart to show what are good examples of describing words
and actions. Write down examples on writing easel of words that we come up with as a group.
Talk about how certain words/emotion/dialog help to bring story to life.

Check for Understanding/Provide Learner Guidance: Ask for examples of good details from the story
that brought it to life. Use web 2.0 tool Quizizz on Smart Board during presenting information to assess
if learners can put words or phrases into different categories and into spreadsheet.

Guided Practice with coaching /Elicit Performance: Use teacher example of small moment story. With class add details
to bring story to life. Use red pen on Smartboard to edit story and cross out and replace with new words
and description. Call students up for active participation. Have students use anchor chart as resource and list we created to

and closure from the initial story played through Powtoons.
