RESOURCE
DESCRIPTION
Give
a
brief
description
of
the
technology/resource.
Haiku
Deck
is
a
website
that
allows
students
to
create
a
presentation
with
different
types
of
slides.
There
are
a
variety
of
ways
to
customize
the
presentation
to
make
it
interesting
and
visually
appealing.
INTEGRATION
IDEA
-
PRESENTATION
How
might
you
use
this
resource
in
a
lesson
plan
to
promote
students
presentation/speaking/communication
skills?
If
the
students
were
learning
about
solving
linear
equations,
each
group
could
be
given
a
different
word
problem
that
includes
a
system
of
equations
to
solve.
They
could
create
a
presentation
using
Haiku
Deck
that
walks
through
how
to
solve
the
system
of
equations
using
elimination
and
substitution,
tables,
and
graphs.
Then
each
group
could
present
how
they
worked
through
each
method
and
which
method
they
thought
was
most
effective.
This
would
promote
students
presentation/speaking/communication
skills
because
they
would
need
to
present
their
thoughts
to
the
class
in
a
way
that
makes
sense
to
everyone
else.
They
would
need
to
figure
out
the
most
effective
way
to
communicate
their
ideas
clearly
to
the
class.

VALUE-ADDED
EXPLANATION
Based
on
the
value-added
rating
scale
above,
how
would
you
rate
the
technology
integration
you
described,
using
the
selected
resource?
I
would
rate
the
technology
integration
I
described
as
a
2
on
the
value-added
rating
scale.
Explain
your
rating
based
on
the
rubric
indicators.
Although
the
technology
integration
I
described
aligns
to
content
standards
and
creates
a
student-centered
environment,
it
does
not
transform
the
lesson
in
a
way
that
would
be
difficult
without
it.
However,
I
do
think
it
would
increase
student
engagement,
which
would
in
turn
contribute
to
their
mastery
of
the
concept.
