The greatest fear in all the world is the fear of death.

Jesus teaches and demonstrates in John 11 that He has
the power over death. If He can alleviate our fears about
death, He is certainly able to alleviate our fear of man,
sin, poor health, financial difficulties, relational loss, etc.
If there is even the slightest bit of fear in any area of life,
take some time today to read Psalm 27 and meditate on
the care of God for His people.

The lamp of divine, written revelation reveals the will of God

for the believer. Whether it is expressed by biblical command
or precept, by scriptural example or principle, the Word illumines the path every believer must take. This divine light in
Scripture is not a mere option, but an absolute necessity for
every follower of Christ. Steven J. Lawson
Pray and thank the Lord for His written revelation. Thank Him
for Scriptures as they illuminate the path for the believer.

The Psalms are some of the oldest songs around. Psalm

98:1 says, Oh sing to the Lord a new song, for he has
done marvelous things. Notice the reasoning there. God
has done marvelous and not just a long time ago. God
has done marvelous things in your life, recently.Because
his mercies are new every morning, (Jer 3:23), we are
constantly searching for new ways to express our gratitude. Songs are one of those ways we express thanks and
praise. Let there be new melodies for new mercies. We
are reminded by the Psalmsto sing to him a new song
(Ps 33:3), and so we say to one another, Oh sing to the
Lord a new song (Ps 96:1) and we say to the Lord, I will
sing a new song to you, O God (Ps 144:9). Here in the
Psalms,we see a divine mandate, a command,that we
not onlysing songs, but that we should also seek to sing
new songs. May the marvelous things that he has done
constantly inspire in our hearts new and creative chords
and melodies and lyrics to sing to our God. He is worthy.
