TASK DESCRIPTION (STUDENT ACTIVITY)

Make sure to setup cones and drills away from holes and
ant beds and only on level surface of field
Check field for any trash, broken glass or debris and
remove if necessary
Inspect all equipment and make sure that everything is
size appropriate for lesson and make sure you have
enough and that ball are properly pumped up to size.
Have students remove all jackets, purses, book bags and
jewelry before lesson
Check for appropriate footwear and clothing
Respect others space and be considerate of your personal
space in relation to others
Be aware of wet grass or other weather hazards that could
affect field conditions

1. Before Class

Post Game Schedule (on poster in gym including field diagram and team field
assignment)

Provide Referee Equipment (Placed in boxes in middle of field including


whistles x4, clipboards, pencils, scoresheets and stats sheets, and labeled
boxes for placement after games)

Students will be dressed in their team uniforms

Awards Ceremony Committee will set up gym while game is being played
2. Warm up lead by warm-up leaders. Pre-service teacher provides warm-up card. On
League Commissioner Whistle, Warm Up Halts.
3. Pre-Game Transition

Students quickly move to fields, playing teams coaches split teams

Officiating Teams get scoresheets, referee reports, whistles, soccer balls and

Field 4a/4b: Elite Elephants vs Riverside Rangers

Officials: Champion Cheetahs

On League Commissioners Whistle, Games will begin.

1st Half (6 Min)

Teams are split into 2 mini teams to plays games.

Officials will use skills taught in previous lesson (see SE 4 Lesson

calling/what worked well and what can be improved on for 2nd half.

5. League Commissioner announces game scores, sportsmanship points and


organization/warmup points for the day.

Teams will form circle around officials area. Officials Will Announce the Scores
for their games to teams.

6. Post Game Transition

Preservice teachers and league commissioners will lead teams into gym for

Teams will sit as a team in bleachers/on floor for awards ceremony

Students will enter the gym and take seats in bleachers

Gym will be set up with music, mics and have awards set up on table ready to
go as awards are presented

The Award Ceremony will present the following awards:
