The use and benefit of using social media in business is growing at an

astonishing rate. Facebook alone is currently floating at 104 million dollars in
stock. Social media offers an opportunity for business to reach out and really
be a part of the world outside of their store. Businesses can see whether or
not there is word of mouth about them or not and if its spreading, using likes
hashtags and retweets companies can see how popular theyre getting. This
platform provides the company with the proper tools to really get in touch
with the customers also.
Sometimes businesses will set up review pages to see how their
products are going, this really helps with the updating process on some
products. Also you can target certain groups of people on social media using
market strategies, pulling them in and drawing their eyes to your slogans.
There are three types of influencers: number one; Social broadcasters, which
would be at the top of this list. Number two; mass influencers, which rank
about in the middle of the spectrum of social media advertisers. At last,
number three; potential influencers, at the bottom end of this spectrum.

Of course in every advertisement campaign there are complications,

one with social media is that it is hard to record the differences. Only 15
percent of business in the United States have claimed to see a drastic
difference in business. Here is where modern technology comes into play;
online stores, in 2012 the United States alone generated 231 billion dollars in
revenue due to online shopping. Some of the more common slang terms for
business popularity are; hits, visits, and page views. Goal driven
metrics are set by corporations to smaller businesses to reach to get a
reward or pay raise in some departments.
Companies will conduct tests to determine the sales theyve
generated by social media. A pre-and post-test will be done to see the
raise in revenue for the business. According to the CMO companies only
spend 2.3 of their marketing budgets on social media marketing strategies. A
lot of companies will juggle the decision of ignoring social media and reaping
the consequences, and end up creating an account for their business.
